Well I'm off to Wonderfest today, it's been a long time. I will be the Grex airbrush dealer, along with my sanding sticks, Aves Apoxie products, and some super rare garage kits I pulled from my private collection. Some of these kits have not been seen for over 20 years. If you get a chance please stop by and say hello. The web site is coming together and I am hoping to have it up in 2 weeks. Cheers

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be vending at the AMPS National next week. I am going to have the complete Grex Airbrush line of guns, parts, and accessories. In addition I will have a good selection of military and modeling books, tools, "As Is" model kits at great prices, kits, and of course my CRM sanding sticks. I can't wait to see all my old friends and hopefully make some new ones. This is the first of several shows I will be doing this year. Cheers, Chris

I just talked to the De Soto police department and was informed that Trisha Brumitt was killed in a house fire 2 weeks ago. Many of you knew Trish from the shop, and she will definitely be missed. She was a very talented artist and a good friend.

Just letting everyone I will be in San Marcos for the Nats., if anyone needs sanding sticks please let me know and I will bring them like I did last year. Cheers, Chris

Hey everyone I am in Tokyo

It is with heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Jim Mesko. Many of you have enjoyed his books for years, and he will be greatly missed.

I want to let everyone know the Gateway IPMS Invitational Sept. 9th is moving to Affton Elks Lodge, 6330 Heege Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123. This is the location of our meetings and we will have the same number of vendors as before.

Just wanted to remind everyone that the Gateway IPMS show is September 10th at the Holiday Inn Route 66. It should be a great show, with contest, vendor area, and fun for all. I hope to be there but I just had a knee replacement surgery, so we’ll see. 30 years of doing shows finally caught up with me. Cheers

I will be attending the IPMS National in Omaha later this month, and if anyone would like sanding sticks please let me know. I will not be vending but I will be there from Wed. thru Saturday morning and will be glad to bring sticks for anyone who needs them, that will save you shipping cost. I had some very sad news this week, my friend and business associate Bob Letterman passed away Monday after a long battle with cancer. With his passing and Lewis's not long ago the era pf the Super Diorama has closed. I knew Bob since 1988, and he will missed by me and the modeling world in general.

It saddens me to inform everyone that my friend and former employee of CRM Hobbies, Mike Burke, has lost his valiant fight with cancer and left us Thursday for happier places. I'm sure many of you enjoyed the interesting conversations with Mike at the shop. His knowledge of aircraft, space, and science fiction was unmatched. He will be missed.

Thought I would post some fun things from past shows to try and lighten the mood

The last 3 weeks have been hard on me, I have lost 2 dear friends and have had a very involved surgery. First we lost Del Miller a long time friend and all around great man. Del was a minister and married me and Kathy back so many years ago. Then this week we lost Lewis Pruneau, a great person and one of the top modelers in the world. I was lucky enough to call Lewis my friend for the last 30 + years and always loved his reaction when I found him something he needed for a project that he didn't know existed. Both of these great men will be missed by me and everyone who knew them.

I just wanted everyone to know that I will not be at the IPMS Regional on Sept. 11 because I am having rotator cuff surgery on the 9th. From what I have been told I will be out of action for at least a month. I am going to miss seeing everybody, that is the biggest thing I miss about not having the shop is seeing all my friends that I have made over the years. Good luck everyone and I will see you at the IPMS Nationals in Omaha next year.

I want to remind everyone of the IPMS Gateway show that is coming up Sept. 11 at the Route 66 Holiday Inn. It will be the first Regional from Region 14 and should be a good show.
