Aldermanic President Megan Green, Alderwoman Alisha Sonnier, and Presidential Candidate Jill Stein are at Washington University’s campus attempting to de-escalate with police and the university administration, but they will not respond.

We are live at the Wash U Emergency March For Palestine, where students marched and set up an encampment to urge Washington University to divest from Boeing, a company known to be supplying arms to Israel. Wash U’s involvement with Boeing includes an accelerated leadership program, funding for scholarships and tuition discounts for Boeing employees. Over the last few weeks, Washington University students have set up several protests. These protests have proven to be highly organized, with designated de-escalators, designated observers and photographers, and a clear distinction between who could risk arrest and who must be protected at all costs. After setting up the encampment, students were given 15 minutes by police to disperse, declaring it unlawful assembly — but students have linked arms around the encampment site, declaring that they are going to hold the camp down.
