Coming up this Thursday afternoon we’re gonna hear selections from st Louis’ own Michael Silverman & Lady J Huston, and Greg Haynes then a couple of requested tunes from Carol Albert, Lemek Yisrael & Acoustic Alchemy, and more right now on Easy In The Afternoon-WSIE 88.7 The Sound!!!

After watching the Oprah Winfrey amazing production of The Color Purple with friends & family, the official plaque from the Hollywood Independent Music Awards was delivered for my composition, "Hide-Away" nominated for . This is a major accomplishment & honor for the 18-piece Big Band composition I performed with The Jazz Edge Orchestra. I wrote the song as a music major at Howard university where I 1st performed it with their Jazz Ensemble.

Many years later, thanks to Jeremy Segel-Moss & the St. Louis Blues Society, it was recorded with engineering by Paul Niehaus IV (also on Guitar) at his Blue Lotus studios for their "18 in 18" compilation album. The re-mix was recorded, thanks to Executive Producer, (R.I.P.), which appears on our award winning/ highly acclaimed "Groove Me Baby" album.

So excited to share I'm one of the featured artists in this short documentary about the music scene produced by Hollywood's Go USA TV network. The National Blues Museum played a vital role in its development along with the historic BB's Jazz, Blues and Soups where my segment was filmed.

The Recording Academy / GRAMMYs nominations were announced today. I did not make it to the next round of being a nominee, but I'm still excited to have qualified to be on the ballot for nomination consideration in two categories-which is indeed an honor for my album.

Thank you all so much for the great support ❤️ you gave me and to the Academy members for your dedication in Keeping the Blues Alive! 🤩
