This past Thursday we spent the night with Mick Sterling and his E Street Shuffle/ Detroit Muscle show. What a blast!~ The band was on FIRE and the energy was contagious during 2.5 hours of classic rock hits by Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger. Mick was joined by the incredible Cate Fiero and Shalo Lee, amazing! Another perfect Minnesota summer evening made even more perfect with great music, great food and great people on board the Avalon!

Check out these amazing people who were part of the festivities last Thursday! Chris Hawkey Band treated us all to a magnificent set of music and mother nature added a perfect Minnesota summer evening. Thanks to all who took this ride with us!

Got your tickets for the Ladies of the 80s "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" show on August 1? We haven't been talking about this one too much because it actually sold out right away! Wow, you guys LOVE the 80s and we LOVE that you do! We can't wait to share this special night with those who happened to get tickets right away. (Shhh... it's a secret but there is a rumor we may be adding another show in the fall for those that missed out on this one)

Did we mention how much fun we had last Thursday with The Crown Jewels - A Tribute to Queen? From soundcheck until the final bow, such a great time! So many wonderful Queen fans on the boat at the same time, what a blast! We sang, we danced, we wore flashy rings and took loads of pictures! PLEASE tag yourselves, you sexy things!

Back 4 years ago, Rhapsody Events and the St. Croix Summer Music Series tentatively (and a little bravely, if I do say so…) stepped out into a whole new world of live concerts, music on a river, and creating experiences for folks weary of being held captive by a virus for the past few years. Our very first guest was a gentlemen named… Mr. Chris Hawkey.

Chris so was kind, encouraging and gave a special light and sense of courage to this new endeavor. Through this connection, I later joined him and the KFAN morning crew as tour manger on trips to Dublin and then London (Go Vikes!) I am very, very grateful for the experience of this first night with Chris and what it has brought me any many others.

I am BEYOND excited to announce…Chris Hawkey is back on the boat!
