Calling this Bruin pretty much done. I don’t know why the stripes wanted to be painted - but they wanted to be painted. Such is the odd way art gets made. Acrylic paint on canvas.

Three-pronged post. It’s May 1st - so “Rabbit rabbit.”
But also, hoping that the person with recent inquiry about “Baker of Cookies” card will see this and let me know. Sigh. I cannot find your message to say that card is ready to head your way.. The mysteries of high tech are ever present.
And progress on current bear. It looks a bit different already. And whispered, “I am not a real bear.” Yet another art day mystery.

New Bruin on the easel. Acrylic on 16 X 20 inch canvas. Still in progress. Name might be Loki. Mysteries remain. Will be available in May.

- Getting back to an oil painting that’s been sitting on the easel way too long.

- Small and spunky creatures are ready for their close-ups! They will be available next week - along with bears and others.

With a small artistic crew painting at our local library. This pastel porker was started some weeks ago. He was snorting for more attention. Work in progress. He’s getting good at basking.

Coffee shop Brown Swiss sketch in gouache. Never gonna play Carnigie Hall, but gotta keep at “Practice, practice, practice.”

Took a bit of coffee shop time to play with some tiny ponies. Accordion book in progress. Fun!

Pastel porker in progress. Something to pass the time till the Green Bay Packers game comes on. Ha - I am a fan of both pigs and Packers!

Playing with a pastel porker who I got to meet this past summer. Work in progress. Nupastel on toned and textured paper. He is basking in sunlight. Minnesota skies right now seem a perpetual grey.

Prepping for the Red Wing (MN) Art Festival this weekend. This list was created in a Stillwater coffeeshop years ago. Still helpful.
Of course the bear, squirrel, and bunny greeting cards will be available. But now and then some of us need a reminder.

Grand Marais (MN) Art Festival on July 8-9 is forecast to be a bit nippy. Current high forecast for Saturday is 55 degrees F. So we are bringing sweaters, leggings, and serious jackets. Last weekend’s art fair was near 90 degrees. We wore shorts. Have fun this weekend! Dress for the weather.

Not quite ready for framing. But soon. Planning to have this duo at the wonderful Grand Marais (MN) Art Festival this weekend. The World’s Best Doughnuts are there already. And Lake Superior, of course!

Prepared for Lake Superior weather is always interesting. We’ve been scorched in the metro area. Up north’s forecast is for rain and not-warm. Mom Nature’s playing with our emotions. The bears don’t seem to care.
