We regret to inform everyone, but the Food Truck for today has been canceled. The supplier had an issue that has resulted in the truck being canceled. We sincerely apologize and will update once we have information on when the new date will be. Again, we are sorry.

Food Boxes will be distributed tomorrow January 19th by Greater Victory Church of God

LOCATION: FIRST FREEWILL BAPTIST CHURCH ACROSS FROM TEXACO ON HWY 278 IN SULLIGENT, AL!!! DUE TO POSSIBILITY OF RAIN.

This is STILL a drive-thru event!!!!

YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO ENTER FROM THE WEST BOUND SIDE (RIGHT TURN ONLY)

YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXIT BY MAKING A RIGHT TURN GOING WEST.

DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 12PM OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND COME BACK. AGAIN NO ONE ALLOWED TO LINE UP EARLIER THAN 12PM.

THIS WILL BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN OUR USUAL PROCESS SO PAY ATTENTION AND ADHERE TO ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM STAFF.

Please note: No matter how many people are in one vehicle only 2 boxes will be placed in 1 vehicle. Again 2 boxes per vehicle!!! That is the LIMIT and WE WILL NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS!!

Due to the number of deaths among our congregation and volunteers as well as some predictions for bad weather there will be no food truck this month. Working with the agency to secure a date for April. We are sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to being able to serve our community again.

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Mrs. Mary Hackman. Mrs. Hackman was the mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law of some of our faithful volunteers, The Hollis Family of Vernon, AL. Please send love and prayers to them all.

We ask that everyone please join us in prayer for the family of Steph Fowler as she passed away this morning. Steph would often message me and ask about boxes not just for her but for others. She was a very sweet person with a good heart. No matter the circumstances her TRUE character spoke for itself. She will be missed.

Card line moved much quicker than anticipated. If you do not have a card food is now being distributed on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS!!

Next Food Truck will be here this week!!!! The following is very important! Please READ CAREFULLY.

1. If you have not signed up already we are unable to take any new sign ups!!!

2. If you are signed up you MUST come sign for this upcoming box and pick up a card.

Signatures will be collected at the church Tuesday, Nov. 9th and Wednesday, Nov 10th from 9am to 12pm. At the Greater Victory Church in Sulligent. You must have an application on file from September to sign and receive a card. You will be given the date and time to show up for pick up when you come and sign for your box.

3. You may only pick up 2 cards this time!!! One person cannot pick up 4 peoples food boxes.

We are not sure where the misinformation came from but we would like to reiterate WE DO NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION AT THIS TIME ON IF THERE WILL BE ANOTHER FOOD GIVEAWAY OR WHEN. When we have more information this page and party line will be the source.

When sign up is happening again we will post that also. Please do not leave multiple messages on the church voice-mail.

ATTENTION!!!!

If you DID NOT pre-qualify for food boxes you can fill out an application on tomorrow 9/30/21 AFTER 11AM. You MUST have an application on file to receive the food items.

There is no one available on today to take phone applications and if a message was left after 1:30pm on Tuesday those calls will not be returned. You will need to come to the church tomorrow after 11AM to fill out an application.

Please do not get in line if you do not have an application on file. You will need to park across the street from the church and come to the check in table.

DISTRIBUTION will take place at approximately 11AM at the Greater Victory Church of God in Sulligent, AL off of Hwy 278 West.

Please be patient this is a totally different program than before and will require more attention to detail on our part and more patience from us all. We are excited to see you all again and happy to serve.

Good Morning!!!!

Pleased to announce we will have food boxes this week!!!!

This is a DIFFERENT program and a few things have changed.

1. All recipients MUST pre-qualify. This means you must fill out an application (paperwork). This is out of our control but a rule that must be followed.

2. There will not be any extra. Food will only go to those who qualify.

3. LAMAR COUNTY, AL ONLY!!! Again a rule that must be followed.

I (Pernellin "Molly") will be available from 11:30am - 2pm today at the Greater Victory Church of God in Sulligent for anyone who would like to fill out a form.

I will be available on tomorrow from 9am until 1:30pm same location for anyone who would like to fill out a form.

If you would like to pre-qualify over the phone due to inability to come in person please call 205-430-2410. Leave your name and a GOOD call back number. ONE MESSAGE per household! Do not leave multiple messages!!!

Can qualify 1 of 4 ways.
1. TANIF Recipient
2. SNAP Benefits Recipient
3. SSI Recipient
4. Income Based (No proof of income required!!!!)

We pray that each of you are doing well. We certainly miss seeing all the smiling faces on Saturday mornings. As of right now the food box program has NOT been restarted. Just wanted to give an update and check in. We are still hopeful that something else will become available soon. If and when it does we will get the word out via social media and local radio.
