I've had some more time to continue processing images from Utah! From Bryce Canyon we made our way to Capitol Reef NP via Escalante and the East Burr Trail road just outside Bolder, Ut. I highly recommend East Burr Trail if you are in the area! It's an easy paved road but it's very close to some of the more rugged terrain we photographed. By late afternoon we arrived in Torrey, Ut. just outside Capitol Reef.
We got back from Utah earlier this week and I've been playing catch-up ever since! Some quick facts about the trip;
14 days
7 hotels/lodges
4000 air miles traveled
2420 road miles traveled
210542 steps
10445 images captured.
These images are from Bryce Canyon. You'll note some of them are in the snow. We were at or above 8800 ft. altitude and what we thought were rain showers approaching turned out to be snow showers! Because of the snowy/rainy/cloudy weather we missed the Aurora but, based on everything else we did, I'm not really that sorry. I joked that we went 2000 miles away from home to miss it!

I was able to work a little bit this morning on some of my eclipse images. This is one of two projects I had hoped to take from the eclipse, the other being a timelapse. This composite is 9 seperate images processed in Lightroom and Photoshop. The haziness of the images in the lower right is due to increased cloud cover near the end of the eclipse. All images shot on Canon EOS R5 with the RF 100-500 mounted on an iOptron SkyGuider Pro.
