Summer meals are available for Sumter County residents 18 years or younger. Students enrolled in summer school in Sumter School District are not eligible to receive summer meal bundles since meals are already provided by Sumter School District Food Service.

The program will operate Thursday, June 13, June 20, and June 27 and Tuesday, July 2, July 9, and July 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. only from one of the following locations: Hillcrest Food Service Office, 4255 Peach Orchard Rd. Dalzell; Mayewood Middle, 4300 Brewington Rd. Sumter; or the F.J. Delaine Center, 5355 Cane Savannah Rd. Wedgefield.

Please note the following registration dates and times:

June 13 will begin June 5 at 12 noon and end Monday June 10 at 4:00 p.m.

June 20 will begin June 13 at 12 noon and end Monday June 17 at 4:00 p.m.

June 27 will begin June 20 at 12 noon and end Monday June 24 at 4:00 p.m.

July 2 will begin June 27 at 12 noon and end Monday July 1 at 4:00 p.m.

July 9 will begin July 2 at 12 noon and end Friday July 5 at 4:00 p.m.

July 16 will begin July 9 at 12 noon and end Friday July 12 at 4:00 p.m.

Registration is mandatory and required to receive meals. Parents or guardians may register for meals in one of the following ways: complete this Google Form https://bit.ly/4eauZE0 or call (803) 499-5950 or (803) 494-7112. *One form for each child must be completed.

Meal packs will include five pre-packaged heat and eat lunch meals that include fruit, vegetables and milk. Meal packs will also include five pre-packaged convenience breakfast meals and milk. Meal packs are available by pick-up only.

Summer Art Camp for all of our artistic students!

Summer Art Camp 2024 is right around the corner, and this one’s going to be one to remember!

Signing up is as easy as stopping by the gallery and filling out a form! Students can also be registered online through the Gallery’s website.

Camps are $105 for members, and $115 for non-members. Payments using credit card may be made by phone or in person. Payments must be received at least one week prior to the first day of class to be guaranteed a slot.

We want to thank Black River Electric and Eaton of Sumter for joining in on our field day yesterday to help assist students and staff! We also want to extend a thanks to all our parents who came and spent the morning with us. WE APPRECIATE YOU!

CONGRATS GABBY MILLER🎓💛 We had a very special guest walk the halls of the place her foundation was laid by our teachers, Pocalla Springs Elementary! She is the top 5% of her graduating class. We are so proud! Check the comments for a video!

We know the end is near when field day is here ☀️☀️ We had such a blast this year! A special shout out to our PE Coach, Coach Mota for directing it! Thank you to all the volunteers that helped and took the time to enjoy the day with us! 💚

FIELD DAY IS TOMORROW! Please make sure you have called the front office if you plan to volunteer. Reminder that students should bring a clear water bottle and wear sneakers! It will be hot outside😎

To wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week…..we want to thank our AMAZING principal, Mrs. McBride, for providing every staff member with a new chair for upcoming summer break ☀️ She really is the best!

Pocalla Springs is so proud of our Induction teachers Mr. Espino and Ms. Yow. A special shout out to Ms. Christmas for being nominated as one of the finalist for Induction Teacher of the Year!

Library books are due! Please check your child's bookbag or at home if they have no returned any. All books/fees must be paid before field day next Thursday!
