With major technological advancements in the world of dental ceramics, veneers are a highly esthetic solution to correct teeth abnormalities like tooth discoloration (brown, grey, yellow), very small teeth (peg-shaped teeth), a deviated or canted tooth midline in relation to the midline of the face, spaces between front teeth, and other esthetic issues. A great advantage of veneer treatment is that it requires a minimal amount of tooth structure to be removed before applying the veneer. A thin layer of the tooth enamel is removed and replaced with a very thin but very strong ceramic veneer. The veneer is created to correct color, shape or placement of the front teeth, or a combination of these issues. The veneer is bonded to the front surface of the tooth, resulting in a beautiful, natural appearance. The veneers we use in our Mountain View office are made of highly esthetic E-Max ceramic or other high quality ceramic.
