We pray for the purification of our sister Vincentian, Jeanne. May she rest in the Peace of the Lord.
Angel Tree 2023 finally winding down. Family gifts are being bagged for delivery. This year we were able to assist 140 families with gifts and grocery cards (almost 1200 gifts).
Our first day/evening of Angel Tree 2023. As always, our parishioners show their generosity.
Fr. Greg selected the winning tickets for each of the raffle baskets for the SVdP fundraiser at the conclusion of the FOP walk. We are grateful to all those who supported this event.
Saturday, September 23rd was the annual Friends of the Poor walk for SVdP. This fundraiser will help our Conference assist families in our community who need a "hand up" during their financial struggles. Thanks to all the volunteers, those who supported by walking or buying raffle tickets and thanks to Margo for sharing her photos.
We enjoyed a wonderful Spiritual renewal instead of our weekly meeting last night. Mary Ann Hunter (Flagstaff) and Jim Pendergast (Phoenix) presented a condensed OFE training. We were joined by several Vincentians from St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Joachim & St. Anne and St. Anthony of Padua.

From Angel tags on the Advent Trees, to gift collection and sorting, to bags ready for delivery - we are blessed with another successful Angel Tree event thanks to the generosity of our parishioners.
Continuing our Angel Tree gift collection and sorting; we are almost ready for deliveries later this week. Thank you Jerry and Marilyn for all your work.
First day of Angel Tree weekend; collecting, checking and sorting the gifts donated by our parishioners for the families in our community. Vincentians will be delivering gifts along with a grocery gift card and Christmas ornament.
General Membership meeting in Phoenix
Bishop Dolan blessed the new statue of St. Vincent de Paul that stands outside the main entrance to the Human Services Campus in Phoenix and then offered Mass at the General Membership meeting.
Turkey Tuesday is an all-day event for St. Vincent de Paul. Here's Pat and Steve collecting turkey donations.
Our Vincentians were out early this morning, on Turkey Tuesday, accepting donations for our families in El Mirage. Thank you, Dan, Bill and Rita.
Our Jubilarian Vincentian, Mary, has been called home to eternal peace. God bless you and keep you, Mary.
Thank you, Roger, the Spiritual Advisor for our Conference, for an evening of spirituality and fellowship following our regular meeting.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening welcoming/commissioning our newest Vincentians and a recommitment ceremony of our existing Vincentians.
Fr McGuire stopped by our weekly meeting to say hello, offer a prayer and thank us for the work we do for our community.
Our SVdP Conference honored more than 20 Vincentians as Jubilarians on February 27th. Fr. Nicholas Erias Koro presided over the ceremony, blessed the new Jubilarians and presented each with the Jubilarian crucifix. Fr. Jacob joined the celebration as well as Luis Garcia who is in charge of the Jubilarian program for the Phoenix Council. We are blessed to have so many long-term Vincentians along with Fr. Hans Ruygt, Parish Staff and parishioners who support our ministry.
2021 Angel Tree
Sunday afternoon Angel Tree; one Mass remaining for gift drop-off. Our Vincentians are eager to start their assigned deliveries to the families in our area.
Angel Tree 2021 has begun. Lou Ann and Pat collected gifts on the walkway, Joyce and Pat J checked gift tags, the first shift placed gifts on the tables and Tom, Jim and Nadine (not in photo) sorted the grocery gift cards. By Sunday evening the Hall will be filled with gifts for families in our community.
Groundbreaking for our new Activities Center. Jim Morse is representing SVdP and digging our new office space. 😁 We are so excited to soon have an official office to help serve those in need within our community.
We had a very nice ceremony installing our new conference President, Pat Conlan, and thanking our outgoing president, Dick Jessen. Those attending on Zoom joined in for the prayers but missed out on the cake and cookies! 😁
Annual Friends for the Poor Walk, Saturday, September 25th at Surprise Park; 7:30 a.m. registration, lots of beautiful gift baskets being raffled. Join us.
We are collecting new and "gently used" hats and socks for the homeless in and around our community. Items may be dropped off at the office building at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church at Bell Road & Cotton Lane (S/W corner). Collection boxes will be marked "SVdP".
