The Locals’ Lists Syracuse
The Locals’ Locals. Delivered. #getonthelist
We’re confusing people, some on purpose! 😊
We pop in and out of the socials be we’re not here that often. We’re not about the socials. We get their usefulness but we’re just here to get you and show you what you’ve been missing out on.
I’m a HIGE Einstein fan, one of my fav quotes is “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.”. It’s the only one I disagree with. I understand exactly what we’re doing. We’re not playing on platforms, we’re building our own.
People know we’ve been poking around at this for minute. Way back when it was . We’ve spent 15+ years studying local economies, food systems, politics…we’ve talked to everybody. In fact I spent 5 years in county government, touching every department via IT.
We are not aligned with ANY political org or chamber. It’s just simply a position that removes any potential conflicts going either direction.
To the folks creating local content, we’ll be glad to share it, we’re not your competition, Facebook, Insta, Tik-Tol, that’s who we’re after. And just nerdy enough to do it.
So while we post intermittently, we’re alive and well, just not super social. 😉
ONLY LOVE!
RIP to “social media” marketing.
BIG acknowledgment on behalf of Meta. They know that you know that nobody on their platforms see you.
We see you. We’ve got this. 😉
“Walmart Self-Checkout Christmas Party”!
What a fun way to turn it around! I feel every word this guy was saying. Most unwelcoming place on the planet. It’s LOCAL for me!
The 'Walmart Self-Checkout Employee Christmas party' was a joke. Now it's a real fundraiser. Frequent Walmart shopper Drew Delgado was frustrated when he made a joke about a 'self-checkout employee party but it turned into a real fundraiser.

The World Tour stopped HERE!
CHOOSE local!
We did this experiment recently, (we’ve been surprisingly active while away from the socials).
We had deactivated our social accounts with one of the primary reasons being that we wanted to see what we could see in terms of local OUTSIDE of the socials. Turned out to be almost nothing.
We have reactivated and are re-engaging via our channels but we don’t believe the answers are the socials. Just a tiny piece, we’re building the pieces that fit the gap.
Thank a farmer!
Scare up some treats for your community by celebrating locally.

Young ladies, today we’re celebrating YOU. Happy International Day of the Girl!
“In 2022, we commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl (IDG). In these last 10 years, there has been increased attention on issues that matter to girls amongst governments, policymakers and the general public, and more opportunities for girls to have their voices heard on the global stage. Yet, investments in girls’ rights remain limited and girls continue to confront a myriad of challenges to fulfilling their potential”

We do love us an introductory post! Meet, or re-meet The Brasserie Bar & Bistro in Camillus!
Hi everyone! 👋🏼 We have noticed lots of new faces both on our social media and in house, so we wanted to take a second to (re) introduce ourselves!
We are Nora (left) and Michele (right), co-owners of the Brasserie Bar & Bistro. While studying abroad, Michele fell in love with the simplicity and charm of the French brasserie. The brasseries were places of familiarity where customers relaxed in comfort to socialize and enjoy distinctive French cuisine and drink. When Michele returned from her travels she envisioned bringing such a place to Camillus, New York. Michele partnered with her mother, Nora, to bring their vision to life and together we set forth to build the restaurant as we know it today.
We recently celebrated our seventh year in business! We are so thankful to all of our customers - we truly could not have had the success we have without you! 🤍 Here’s to many more years - cheers! 🍻
“I still have my core base of customers ... but the way that is changing, it just doesn't feel sustainable anymore, I don't feel like I can really grow,"
We’re not sharing any secrets here. If you’re a business owner you know the struggle. It’s become an unsustainable battle to keep up with let alone ahead of constantly changing algorithms just to be seen among a customer base that YOU created and curated. There’s a BETTER way!
How are YOUR socials trending? Growing? Holding steady? Or Wondering Where the Heck Everybody Went?
