Stopping by to say Hey 🤗

10/22/2023

I’ve faced silence and a million no’s, but all it took was one, “Yes” 🤧
One year ago today I got the call for the job I’d been waiting for, praying for, and dreaming about!

““But it’s different with you: Be strong. Take heart. Payday is coming!””
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭7‬ ‭MSG‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/97/2ch.15.7.MSG

I love this scripture because every time I get paid, I pay myself and call it Kay Day 🥰

Today I officially start my Master of Science in Entrepreneurship (MSE) program with the Martin J Whitman School of Management.
5 years. This time 5 years ago I remember being in such a battle to finish my senior year, and get to grad school. The fight, the tears, the betrayal, and the redemption.
After 5 years now, I am excited to say that when I complete my program (about 2.5 years) I plan to utilize it for the development of the youth in our community!
The Lord has placed me in arenas where my heart has softened and shifted toward the youth and how their brokenness should no longer be overlooked, over diagnosed, or even over exploited. Today begins a new era! I am excited for what the rest of the year has to bring, and already have my eyes on ‘24 👀

So thankful for my colleagues at Hendricks Chapel, Dean Brian Konkol, Alex Snow (Director of Events), Dara Harper (Communications Manager), and our campus partner Karrie Catalino from the Office of Student Engagement. Their wealth of knowledge and wisdom was imparted into our religious and spiritual life student group advisors and student leadership, and they are now even more equipped to make and be the difference in our Syracuse community 🧡

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my grandma 🥹
I know that she would be so proud of me, and the Woman of GOD I am becoming! My biggest regret in the past used to be that she never got to see me seriously walk in my relationship with The Lord and my calling, but now I’m eased by that because I know that we’ll see each other again in Glory ✝️
Be sure to cherish your loved ones and those close to you while you can because you never know when it’s your last time to love on them! Don’t put off for tomorrow what can be done today.

A broken heart doesn’t mean a broken life. Sometimes we have to go through heartbreak because it will take us to and through a place of PURIFICATION that we would have never seen the purpose of until we were brought to a low place.
I thank GOD for Joy and Freedom! 🤍

“You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it; you are not pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. You will not despise a broken and humbled heart, God.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭CSB‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1713/psa.51.16-17.CSB

My first event 🫶🏾
The closing of a great chapter!
This semester I served as the overseer and supervisor over our food pantry, and I had/have the best group of volunteers who helped grow me, challenge me, support me, and reassure me that I CAN do greater than what I have ever imagined!
Team work makes the dream work, and we are working the dream!

Great Morning Friends and Family! 🤍
Today is Good Friday!
This is the day that The Lord has made for the confirmation of our Faith!
It was a horrible sight to see Christ on the Cross, but oh what a beautiful sight it is over 2000 years later!
This is a reminder YET AGAIN that what we see is NOT what we see!
No matter what we are going through may HE get the GLORY from it! 🙌🏾
