Al Stirpe for NYS Senate
I have never backed down from doing what's right for the middle class families of CNY!
I am extremely proud to receive the support for my State Senate campaign from so many partners in government, including all of the overlapping state legislators in our region. Thank you!
Thank you to Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh for your support!
Syracuse mayor, an independent, endorses Democrat for NY Senate seat Four candidates want to succeed John Mannion in CNY's 50th Senate District.
Last night I was honored to join Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins with my colleagues for the Go Blue rally with the Onondaga County Democratic Committee. Good luck to all the great local candidates we have on the ballot this year!
In my time as an elected official I have worked tirelessly for the people of Central New York. At today's launch, I had folks from all over Onondaga and Oswego Counties there to join my campaign.
I was thankful to receive support from Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, who said, "Al Stirpe understands the importance of the City of Syracuse to our whole region. He’s been an effective advocate on issues that matter to city residents from creating jobs at the Syracuse Tech Garden to working with Centro to provide service from the Hub in downtown Syracuse to manufacturers in the northern suburb. am proud to support him in his campaign for NYS Senate to bring common sense solutions to the challenges we face and advocating for much needed resources for Central New York.”
Thank you again for the outpouring of support, and I am looking forward to seeing you all on the campaign trail!
I am honored to continue to have the unwavering support of labor in Central New York. Today I was joined by members from NYSUT, NASRCC, Ironworkers Local 60, and others.
Al Marzullo of IBEW said, “From his efforts to ensure that public projects include prevailing wages to standing with labor on project labor agreements, Assemblyman Stirpe has been a tireless champion for working families in Albany, I couldn’t ask for a better friend and advocate for labor in the New York State Senate.”
Today in front of family, friends, and community leaders, I announced my campaign for New York State Senate. I was honored to be joined by my colleagues Assemblyman Bill Magnarelli, Senator Rachel May, and Senator John Mannion.
Senator Mannion said, “Central New York needs a pragmatic voice in the New York State Senate. As a member of the New York State Assembly, Al Stirpe has delivered that voice for years. I am grateful to have worked alongside Al to deliver on the Green Chips legislation that brought Micron here, the Upstate Flood Mitigation Task Force, and to expand school meals to children across Central New York. I am proud to endorse him to serve our region as Senate District 50’s next Senator.”
Thank you to my colleagues for your support!

As most of us know, small businesses are the heart and soul of CNY!
As Chair of the Assembly Small Business Committee and a former small-business owner, I have been a champion for the NY's small business community. I worked tirelessly to ensure last year’s state budget included $800 million in COVID-19 Small Business Recovery funds, secured $200 million seed funding grant program for small businesses that began operating during the pandemic; and $250 million for the COVID capital cost small business tax credit, to cover unexpected COVID related financial costs incurred. I will never stop fighting for our small business owners and will continue to empower the entrepreneurial spirit that makes us the best.

A fun group to run into while knocking on Cazenovia doors. Had a good discussion and got to pitch a couple shoes. Amazing that they’ve been playing every month for almost 5 years rain or shine!
It’s GO time for Madison County Dems! A great turnout and excellent brunch. Thank you for your support.
What a great way to finish watching the Notre Dame - Syracuse game with some very special fans! These two adorable kids wanted their picture taken with Riley’s owner. 🙄 And the gentleman in the blue blazer was glad to meet another Notre Dame grad to cringe with when they made another touchdown 😉
Great start to the day with Iron Workers Local 60 with apprentices leaving to canvas. A great big Thank You to these men and women who will be building the future of Central New York!
