International Credit Union Day - Tiny House Village
Credit Unions believe in working together to build stronger communities. Last week volunteers from ACU, TAPCO, Sound & Harborstone credit unions came together to make an impact across Pierce County during International Credit Union Day.
Credit Union volunteers gathered at Low Income Housing Institute's (LIHI) Tiny House Village in South Tacoma to paint residents' homes. The houses needed a good coat of paint before the rainy season. Our volunteers were eager to help protect and freshen up the homes while learning more about how the Tiny House Village assists its residents. The village allows people experiencing homelessness to be housed while offering supportive services and resources. Residents of Tiny House Villages have experienced success in moving out of homelessness and into permanent housing and employment.

International Credit Union Day - South Tacoma Cleanup
Credit Unions believe in working together to build stronger communities. Last week volunteers from ACU, TAPCO, Sound & Harborstone credit unions came together to make an impact across Pierce County during International Credit Union Day.
Volunteers from the credit unions joined forces to cleanup a greenspace in South Tacoma that sits over a natural water aquifer. The group picked up garbage large and small making a difference not only to the visible environment but also helping to protect groundwater quality for all of Tacoma.

International Credit Union Day - Bradley Lake Park
Credit Unions believe in working together to build stronger communities. Last week volunteers from ACU, TAPCO, Sound & Harborstone credit unions came together to make an impact across Pierce County during International Credit Union Day. One of the projects had volunteers joining forces with Pierce Conservation District to tackle invasive species at Bradley Lake Park in Puyallup. By working together, they made way for native plants that create an inviting habitat for wildlife.
