Tacoma showed up to kick off our campaign for a Workers Bill of Rights! ✊ We had 167 attendees on July 27 ready to fight for secure livable wages, stable schedules, safe workplaces, and enough hours to thrive. Thank you to guest speakers including President Michael Hines of Ufcw367, Senator Yasmin Trudeau, Secretary Treasurer of the Pierce County Central Labor Council Nathe Lawver, Secretary Treasurer of the Washington State Labor Council Cherika Carter, front line workers, and many more who shared. We also raised nearly $20,000 in lifetime campaign pledges!

Together, it's time to write a new chapter for workers' rights!

Enthusiastic Crowd Ignites Workers' Rights Movement!

A powerful two days of unity and action! ✊ The Workers’ Rights Summit brought together hundreds of workers, politicians, and community leaders to demand a better future. From Tacoma to Olympia, we’re building a movement to secure livable wages, stable schedules, safe workplaces, and enough hours to thrive. Together, we’re writing a new chapter for workers' rights!

In coalition with Ufcw367, we are organizing WORKERS’ RIGHTS SUMMITS in Tacoma and Olympia to kick off the fight for a Workers’ Bill of Rights!

TACOMA: July 27th, 12PM – 2PM
Evergreen Tacoma, 1210 6th Ave
RSVP here: https://secure.everyaction.com/sT6q0YSlbU2Ep_y6LXrLqA2

Service industry workers across the region are uniting to win a livable minimum wage, predictable guaranteed hours, and safe workplaces. Greedy corporations that dominate the retail, grocery, and food service industries are forcing workers to accept low-pay and precarious conditions just to further enrich billionaire investors.

How can our families arrange childcare when bosses expect us to be on-call 24/7? How can we pay rent or plan our finances if we can’t predict our monthly paycheck?

That’s why over 7,000 grocery workers in UFCW 367 are fighting to win a Workers’ Bill of Rights in Tacoma, Olympia, and beyond. Tacoma for All and our labor-community coalition passed the Tenant Bill of Rights ballot initiative last November, winning the strongest renter protections in WA State. Within six months workers in Olympia won similar protections. Together we are building on those victories to raise up living standards for all working families across the South Puget Sound.

Join the fight today! Register for the Workers’ Rights Summit.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to our first general meeting since December! It was exciting to celebrate the work of our wonderful volunteers who are educating tenants about their newly won rights and also talk about the future and the next fight on the horizon.

06/16/2024

Since winning the strongest tenant protections in the state last November, Tacoma for All organizers have been busy educating renters on their new rights, organizing for progressive amendments to our city charter, and preparing the ground for our next big campaign.

With coalition partners, we are gearing up to win a Workers’ Bill of Rights – and we need your support!

Join Tacoma for All for our big All-Supporters Meeting on Wednesday, June 26th, at 7:00PM to help shape our next steps together. The meeting will be held at our office in Common Good Tacoma, 621 Tacoma Ave S (lower entrance off the alley). Please RSVP for the meeting today! https://bit.ly/T4Ajune26

FBI RAIDS Cortland Management Over PRICE FIXING Scheme, Rents Skyrocketed 30% 06/11/2024

The FBI recently raided Cortland Management as part of their investigation into RealPage, a property management software company that is the focus of a federal anti-trust lawsuit. The software collects anonymized rental data and makes pricing recommendations, and even suggests when rental units should be kept off market, leading to artificially inflated rents. This software is used by property management companies across Western Washington.
