Are you ready? The 12 Days of Christmas Sale at Dightman's starts on Monday. Come early, leave happy😀.

OK, so the 13th was a snow day and we were closed. Therefore... we are extending this sale through Saturday, February 20th while supplies last. And don’t forget, all of our Valentine cards are half off through this Saturday.

We are happy to be open Mon. through Sat. from 10am to 6pm. Our vendors are celebrating with us and gave us a selection of books to give away! To claim your free book come in and quote 2nd Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love, and of a sound mind." Books will be given away on a first come, first served basis until they are gone. Looking forward to seeing you soon!!

We miss you! We have so many Mother’s Day and graduation gifts just waiting for you. Chris and Donna will be meeting people by appointment on Friday afternoon (May 8th). If you have a mask and gloves and are able to stop by the store between 1 and 4 p.m., please send an email to [email protected]. Let me know your name and the time that would work for you. There will be no more than 4 guests in the store at any one time. We know that spiritual needs are essential!

Dightman's Bible Book Center updated their business hours.

We are sad to say that Dightman’s is temporarily closing due to the governor’s mandate. Wednesday, March 26th will be our last day until we receive the okay to return. We will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please come in and pick up Easter and encouragement cards to bless your family, friends and neighbors. You might also want to select some good books or a new study Bible to fill your days with God’s word. God loves you and so does the crew at Dightman’s. We will be praying for you.

We are still open with direct access from the parking lot to our front door. We do not know what the future holds so we encourage you to shop early for Easter. Also, we are happy to mail to you or even run things out to your car. Just give us a call at 253-475-0990 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We love our customers and are praying for you!

Tuesday, March 17th, is the release day for the next Joel Rosenberg thriller. We are open and ready to serve you. We sincerely appreciate your support. Thank you for all your prayers and kind encouraging words after our recent vandalism. God is good.

On Thursday, our big front window was shot out by vandals using a power sling shot with a large ball bearing. (Thank you Jesus, no one was hurt.) We assume that this was done by crooks who had purchased some jewelry with a counterfeit $100 dollar bill. Then a couple days later, a different guy tried to return the jewelry for cash. We confiscated the jewelry and refused to give any cash back. He left the store saying bad things. We assume that this was their revenge.

Our window is now boarded up but we want you to know that we are open and here to serve you. Your support during these difficult days is greatly appreciated. God is in control. What the enemy uses for evil, God will use for good.

Because I was in Tacoma, I asked my buddy, Tara M. Cady if she wanted to join me seeing another special friend. I had brought along 3 of my Bibles that I was hoping to have my “new” name imprinted on. So off we traveled to Dightman’s Bible Book Center. It was like “old home week” getting to reconnect with Donna Baker and her many longtime employees!!! My Daddy regularly used to take me to the BIG Dightman’s Bible Book Store over on Yakima Avenue—Donna and I were both little girls then. I remember her parents so well.

Over the years, Dightman’s has moved to various locations as the economy has dictated the square footage of their buildings. They had numerous opportunities to join the larger corporate Bible bookstores, but the Lord always seemed to have other plans. How thankful are we, who still like to see and hold our Bibles and gift items BEFORE purchasing (or ordering online), that Donna has “stayed the course”, and their amazing store is still thriving—especially since all the others have closed/are closing!!!!

For a smaller venue, Dightman’s is well-stocked to meet all the Christian needs of the public. Their greeting card section is AMAZING!! Wanna’ hold that Bible before purchasing? Take your pick!! Need gift items for that special friend/occasion?? Visit their store!!!! The traffic between Tacoma and Olympia leaves “a little to be desired”, but it’s always worth a trip into Dightman’s!!!

We are sad to say Good-bye to Doyle (on left) who has been with Dightman's for 9 years. He is returning to his home in Hawaii. He will be greatly missed by staff and customers!

Tomorrow is the day (Saturday) to meet Wanda and Jean Brunstetter. They will be autographing books from 2 to 4 pm in the new location of Dightman’s Bible Book Center. We are now in Suite B of Michaels Plaza, 2941 S 38th St., Tacoma, WA. See you soon...

Wanda Brunstetter and her daughter-in-law, Jean, are coming to Dightman’s this Saturday from 2 to 4 pm. Come meet the authors of The Hawaiian Quilt and The Hawaiian Discovery. These Amish fiction books are perfect for your summer reading!
