You’re doing great mama!

Just yesterday had a conversation with a fellow mama over my recent post about being shamed for being a sahm (stay at home mom). Well… she, is a working mom, so generally speaking we had a lot to disagree on BUT.. we had one uniting point - no matter what you do, you’re doing it wrong.
Want to laugh at that but it’s not funny.
So help me out here. Is this society we live in or out Slavic roots? Are other cultures just as shaming toward young mamas?

Formula feed - why not breastfeed, mamas milk is the best! What do you mean you have no milk? There is no such thing! You didn’t try hard enough.

You breastfeed? Good job mama!! Oh he’s 2? Oh yeah that too old for breastfeeding!

You pump? Oh that is not the same thing as breastfeeding. What about that skin to skin bond?

Staying at home mom? Is that all you do? Then how hard can your life be!? You’re not working.. what are you tired from?!

Working mom? Oh you must love materialistic things.. you should focus more on your kids!

Sleep - training? So you just let your baby to sleep? I could never do that to my child.

Well you got the point..

I can go on and on..
Screen time, jar food vs homemade, pacifier, etc.

And my favourite one yet.. why doesn’t your baby crawl yet? Maybe show him to a doctor? Maybe something is wrong with him?! “Well I have somebody I know who… and because his parent didn’t show him to a doctor in time he’s like that now..”
(FYI, my baby started started crawling that same week)

You know what?! You’re doing great mama! You’re the best mama for you child! And I’m 💯 sure if you will need an advice, you’ll ask for one. So no matter how many time someone tried to bring you down (speaking to myself first), your baby is alive, healthy and loves you!
