We're excited to share Lubanzi Wines with you! Founded by two entrepreneurial travelers who first fell in love with South Africa as exchange students in 2014, and named after a wandering dog who accompanied them on a weeklong hike across the remote wild coast, this winery is notable for SO many reasons! Lubanzi is a certified B Corp, carbon neutral, fair trade, gives 1% of all profits to environmental organizations, and at least 50% of their profits to the low income families that work on South Africa's wine farms improving their access to quality health care and education. They also make some of my favorite crushable wines for warm weather. Could it get any better? Oh yeah, it does. Some of their wines come in cans perfect for the beach, the pool or kayaking! It's my go to wine for trips down the Wakulla, tubing on Bear Paw and fishing at St. Marks or the coast. These wines are super affordable, travel well, and support some great causes and people! Derek Captain will be pouring, a Lubanzi expert will be there to tell us all about the wines and we'll just be sipping it all in.
