So are y’all ready for this? I promise you we couldn’t have written this. So as of yesterday we were well on our way to getting the “flood” resolved and getting JoEllen’s back to being operational. Joe and I left JoEllen’s today around 2:30 pm. Everything was everything, floors and ceiling completely dry. We ran a couple of errands and we get a call around 4:00 that the repairmen burst a pipe (this time on the 3rd floor) and JoEllen’s is once again the lucky recipient.

Y’all all I could do was chuckle (again). If the varieties of our experiences all add to the masterpiece of our lives, then I can only imagine how magnificent the masterpiece that lies ahead for us.

A lemonade moment, “when life gives you lemons”. JoEllen’s was the recipient of a pretty sizable flood on this Saturday and this is our current state. The leak originated on the 4th floor of the high rise and EVERYTHING flowed down to us with great momentum.

But life does not happen TO us. Rather, the substance of our life happens through us and even in this we have great power. A little frustrated, yes. . .just a little but the frustration can not stop us. No one or no thing writes our script. So before the value of this opportunity passes, we will take hold of it. . .moving in love and always faithful to our purpose. Look for us to reopen soon. We truly appreciate the support here at JoEllen’s but also the support we received through our leaner years at Catering With Care, LLC Cafe & Catering.
This, too, shall pass. 2024!!!
