Tracking some Independence Day fireworks from Mother Nature Spotty showers and thunderstorms are possible this evening. It will not rain everywhere, but a few storms could put a damper on some outdoor festivities.

BREAKING | Hurricane Beryl strengthens into a Category 5 storm. This is the earliest Category 5 hurricane on record in the Atlantic. The previous record was Emily in 2005.

Here's the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center:

Cat. 4 Beryl makes landfall in southern Windward Islands, eyeing Yucatán Peninsula later in the week Hurricane Beryl is one for the record books.

NEW | Tropical Storm Chris has formed in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. This will bring more rain to parts of Mexico. No impacts to the Big Bend or South Georgia.

A Flood Watch in place as scattered storms stick around A Flood Watch is in place for most of the region through 11 p.m. Monday as rounds of showers and thunderstorms stick around.

This makes Beryl the strongest Atlantic hurricane on record for the month of June.

Forecast track remains the same. We are monitoring, but no impacts to Florida or Georgia this week.
