ALL THINGS FSU As a true freshman in 2011, O'Leary played in all 13 games with two starts. A FAMOUS GRANDFATHER

He finished the season with 12 receptions for 164 yards and one touchdown. As a sophomore in 2012, he started 11 of 13 games, recording 21 receptions for 252 yards and three touchdowns. As a junior in 2013, he was a John Mackey Award finalist after recording 33 receptions for 557 yards with seven touchdowns.[4] After considering entering the 2014 NFL Draft, O'Leary returned to Florida State for hi

s senior season.[5] During his senior season, he set Florida State's record for career receptions for a tight end.[6] He again was a finalist for the John Mackey Award, this time winning it.[7] He was also named a consensus All-American.[8] O'Leary finished the season with 48 receptions for 618 yards and six touchdowns. For his career, O'Leary had 114 receptions for 1,591 yards and 17 touchdowns.

1. Nick O’Leary’s grandfather is the legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus. It’s been mentioned in every pre-draft preview and probably in every FSU game telecast the last four years. O’Leary is understandably proud of his grandfather. But in an interview on ESPN’s College Game Day last year he expressed a desire to make his own name. "I love my grandpa, nothing to take away from him, but it's me, I'm going my own way now," O'Leary said on College Game Day. "I love that he's here for every game. After anything that happens with me, they always turn the camera to where they're sitting. There's nothing I can do about it."

2. HIS PARENTS WERE ATHLETES AS WELL
Nick O’Leary’s father, Bill, was a tight end also at the University of Georgia. And his mother, Nan, played volleyball at Georgia.

3. RECORD SETTING PRODUCTION AT FSU
O’Leary set a FSU record for receptions by a tight end last year. He caught 48-passes for 618 yards with six touchdowns. His best game was against Syracuse, when he caught eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown.

4. HE “PLAYS CRAZY”
ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay had interesting analysis of O’Leary’s game. He “plays crazy,” McShay wrote before the draft and “opponents can’t stand him." McShay went on to say “As a blocker, he’ll take on multiple guys per play and keep blocking them even after the play is over. As a route runner, he’ll fight through contact.”

5. MACKEY AWARD WINNER
O’Leary won the John Mackey Award last year as the top tight end in college football, finishing ahead of notables including Minnesota’s Maxx Williams and Miami’s Clive Walford.

6. ANOTHER BILLS PICK FROM THE SUNSHINE STATE
The last four Bills picks have all been natives of Florida, including O’Leary. He’s from Palm Beach Gardens.
