SS Fabrication

Spent the last few weeks putting together a turbo kit for Sarah's LS swapped Ford Mustang. This setup has some of every flavor - stainless, titanium and aluminum per Sarah's request. She is putting this car together to compete in Sick Week and some other Drag n Drive style events, so just having hands on it at all was a treat!

This setup features a Precision Turbo 8685 with a T4 housing. 4" intercooler piping on the intake side, 3.5" turbo to intercooler side, a 4" titanium exhaust out the driver's side fender and a TON more. This was a mobile job and would have taken much less time under the right circumstances, but with the amount of space we had it was a LOT of fine planning and attention to detail to get it all wrapped up.

Overall this is my biggest mobile job to date and i had a blast bringing it all to life. Thank you again Sarah and Lee for the hospitality, the A/C in your garage and a nice bluetooth speaker for the tunes, it's the small details!! 👌😎

Nelson was one of my first customers back when i was just getting the old shop going. He had a awesome vision for his Wrx and we were able to finally make it happen! Hood exit, intercooler piping for the flipped intake manifold and some small odds and ends.

Everything fits perfect. Function and form, as always 💪 Subarus are my roots, i love these cars and it's a blast for me every single time i get to put one together. Can't wait to see what this one does 😎

Eddy brought me his FD Rx7 about a year ago to get the turbo side of piping setup, and after switching throttle bodys he came back for the intake side.

3.5" right off the throttle body, so this Vibrant Performance tight radius 90 and 3.5 to 3" reducer came in to bridge the gap. Eddy requested keeping the remaining 3" pipe so i cut what i needed off and got the powder coat out of the way. Finished product is simple, looks good and is easy to install/ remove.

Form AND function are CRUCIAL.

Finished up some piping and misc fab work on this Is300 at House of Tezza! Had to modify the Supra intercooler to fit, as well as add primaries to the Supra manifold to fit around the turbo and work with the chassis. Piping is 3.5" Vibrant Performance of course, as well as their stainless bits for the primaries and dump tubes. Tight fit all the way around but this car is that much closer to making jam! Tried to simplify it the best i could - keeping function and form in mind.

Overall, came out great for the space i had to work with. Huge shoutout to Rachel and Dan for the hospitality and opportunity 🙏

Yesterday started off with swapping out the rear tips and centering the Borla mufflers on this Kia Stinger. Mig welded it per the customer for the sake of time and cost, got the tips set in the bumper nicely and the customer was happy - which is all that matters. 😎

Seth brought Scrappy by for a "quick shifter bushing swap" last week which turned into a full day of fixing one problem and causing another 😂 cool to see a car like this in the shop already, something about Subaru's with roll cages is just so good.

Seth also does some killer work with a camera! He's taken some pictures and made Reels in the shop already, definitely bringing him around for more content. Thank you again man, always a pleasure! And glad you got the Subaru somewhat figured out 😅😎

First full exhaust out of the new shop! Juan brought me his 911 Turbo S for a 3.5" stainless custom exhaust as the 2.5" unit he had on was causing restrictions, holding back from the car making more than the 901whp it already is. After it goes back to the dyno, this should allow the 950+ he's hoping for 😎

Josh at Parker Performance messaged me and said he had a good one for us to tackle - and boy he was not wrong. This is the fastest car i've ever done anything on, and it needed quite a bit to be right.

The front crossmember was swapped out for a tubular style which created a bunch of fitment issues with an already questionably fitting turbo situation. The turbo to intercooler pipe vband was warped, so that had to go. The crossover pipe for the turbo was now making contact with the tubular crossmember, and the space for the 3.5" intercooler pipe was now gone between the radiator and crossover pipe because of the crossmember.

First, i had to add about 3" of material to the crossmember to get the radiator to sit as far forward as possible. I then cut and shortened the crossover pipe to clear the crossmember to give ample room for the massive 3.5" intercooler piping. Finally cut the vband off the turbo compressor and extended the 3.5" piping off of it down to a Vibrant Performance clamp for easier install/ removal and a better overall fit in the tight space, and also remade the pipe from turbo to intercooler altogether. Added another Vibrant clamp to the charge pipe off the throttle body to eliminate some more silicone and make it easier to service as well.

Overall, we made it all fit as best as possible with the space we had to work with. This car retains AC with this setup, making north of 1200whp. I'll post videos of it once the guys finish up some other odds and ends on it - this thing is gnarly!

Knocked out a turbo setup for Tom's STi, the last one to come out of the old shop. He requested intercooler piping be routed under the intake manifold and that's exactly what he got 😎 this kit utilizes a Precision Turbo vband inlet and outlet fl**ges, a Tomei 3 bolt fl**ge to the header as well as all Vibrant components. Can't wait to see it all on the car!

Going forward turbo setups will be made in a much smaller timeframe with access to tools i didn't have before. I'll also be stocking full kits pre made ready to go with options for turbos, wastegates, BOV's and intercoolers included. Can't wait to show you all what the future holds!!

Robert brought me his Accord wagon to have the downpipe fixed. It was rubbing on the motor mount and awfully close to the radiator. I cut it on top and before the existing wastegate merge, and remade that section as well as the wastegate pipe to fit and flow better. No more rubbing, less bends in the wastegate pipe to help with flow and keep temps down near the radiator.

Welding dirty stainless to clean stainless produces less than perfect visual results, but is plenty strong. Took a while to clean up but overall came out great and the main fitment issues were resolved. Plus, it's a bit easier to remove the downpipe now - function and form!

Just want to take a moment to say thank you to all the recent page followers! My name is John, i love tig welding and have a soft spot for Subaru's. I will work on just about anything, any questions you have feel free to reach out!

David brought me his STi swapped Forester because the turbo was sitting at way too much of an angle per the previous fabricator. I removed the up and down pipe, readjusted the turbo and rewelded them. Now, the turbo no longer smokes or burns oil out of the exhaust side. Also built a 4" intake for the setup to finish off the engine bay with a clean, race car look. (Newer filter coming soon!)

Knocked out a quick return line b**g on this brand new Holley pan for a turbo LS setup going together. Thank you guys again for coming by!

Jared brought me his 2017 Ford Focus RS for a muffler delete. I've always liked these cars, they have a very similar pop and bang sound from the factory like Srt4's do, and removing the muffler really brings it out. Jared opted to have the piping mig welded and the end result turned out great! At the end of the day, he's happy and that's all that matters to me.

Knocked out a equal length exhaust setup on Jake's truck to go after the Corvette sound he was looking for. All 3" from header to the Borla mufflers in the rear. Jake opted to have this exhaust mig welded to save some time and money, without sacrificing strength of any of the joints.

Overall this was a fun project on a badass truck! Thank you again Jake for the opportunity and trusting me with it 🙏 i had an absolute blast. The end result was well worth the wait! 😎

Did a few things on Josh's Rx7 yesterday. Downpipe, AN coolant line fittings and adjusted the existing catback to fit a bit better on the car so it's ready for the first startup. Josh has been piecing this car together from a bare shell, and it's super close to being a running and driving car.

SS Fab 3.5" downpipe using JMD Tubes stainless steel piping and bellows, glued together with Primeweld 225X. Welds were kept nice and cool by Michael Furick B*W cup and the backpurge kept in check by Tig Aesthetics purge plugs. Overall a fun Sunday project that came out better than i expected.

I truly enjoy helping my customer's bring their dreams closer to reality, as they do the same for me. Have a great Monday, and an even better week everybody. 😎

Knocked out a hood exit and some intercooler piping fixes as well as a BOV fl**ge swap on Marc's built motor Civic. He swapped from a bottom mount turbo manifold to a top mount style and needed these last few pieces buttoned up before going to the dyno. 3" Vibrant Performance piping and vband for the hood dump pipe and VS Racing BOV as well as BOV fl**ge. Quality material for a quality end result, every time.

A before and after of Patrick's rotated STi turbo setup. As you can see, the bigger turbo is eye catching, but also makes things in the bay a bit simpler. Less clutter, no more annoying stock turbo inlet, removal of just about every part of the turbo setup including downpipe can be done without jacking the car up and much more. If you're thinking about making the jump to a larger turbo, or just want to clean up your engine bay and make working on your car easier, i'd be happy to help.

Another one done! Patrick's STi all wrapped up with the Pulsar turbo and full SS Fab rotated turbo setup. He's putting some miles on it on a base map, will post some videos once it's got the tune put together. Should be quite a ripper on the built motor!

Patrick originally brought me the car to lift up and rotate the Blouch 1.5XTR that was on it primarily for convenience to work on, and just for a different look. Upon inspection i found the turbo was leaking oil externally from the center cartridge, and it was on it's way out. Patrick decided to go with a bigger ball bearing unit that also has a T51r mod on it, so not only will it sound amazing but it will make great power. All in all, a very fun build and despite the circumstances, Patrick is happy and doesn't have to worry about the turbo anymore. A big win - win if you ask me. 😎

That's a wrap on the wrx turbo setup! Ran into an issue with the fuel pump so have to get that taken care of and we can get a start video and some driving. Can't wait to hear how that Pulsar turbo w/ T51 mod sounds!

Form and function! 3" intercooler piping all wrapped up. Aluminum is fun to weld, very satisfying when the machine settings are dialed in. 5356 filler, Michael Furick #5 cup and 18-20CFH through the torch. Focused on where all start/ stop points are so you don't see them once the piping is installed.
