This year, Team Tampa brought the trophy back to the other side of the bay! Congratulations!
A huge shout out to Tampa's competing restaurants Tablas by Chef Taro, Sushi House by kazoku sushi, Union New American, 7th and Grove, Ponte Modern American, Tampa Bay Lightning, The Pearl Water Street and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa!
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did! Thank you all for coming out and supporting Metropolitan Ministries' Culinary Arts Program and empowering other job training opportunities! Every single one of you inspired hope last night, and we could not be more grateful!
We also want to say a special thanks to the for hosting this event, FOX 13's Haley Hinds and FOX 13's Chris Cato for co-hosting, Chef Jeff Philbin for commentating our skills competition, Geoff Cowan from Alpert Enterprises for being our auctioneer, and Stephanie Conners from BayCare for being our honorary chairman.

Tonight is the 7th Annual Tampa Bay Food Fight!
Are you ready for your favorite Tampa and St. Pete chefs to go head-to-head and put their skills to the test to determine who is the best in the bay?!
It will be an epic culinary battle of Tampa Bay and a night of fun, friendly food competition, music and sampling of delicious foods, and drinks – all for the purpose of providing job training opportunities for adults who are at risk or transitioning out of homelessness towards self-sufficiency.
So, not only are we celebrating the local food scene but we're also contributing to the community by emphasizing the transformative power of providing skills and opportunities.
This fight is more than a battle between top chefs - it's a fight for our students' future.

This year's Food Fight not only benefits and provides student scholarships into our Culinary Arts Program, but YOUR support is changing lives right here in Tampa Bay.
The primary objective is to help clients gain relevant training, certifications, or post-secondary education that directly lead to improved career opportunities.

Meet Executive Chef Ricardo Nava of Cru Cellars . Ricardo Daniel Nava Pimentel was born and raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, and moved to the United States at 19. Starting as a dishwasher in his first position in the restaurant industry, Ricardo always had a love for cooking.
