I AM NOT SUPERWOMAN 🦸🏽‍♀️

There’s this idea that moms, especially those with large families, are somehow superhuman. But after giving birth to my 8th baby, I’ve realized more than ever that I’m not superwoman. This last delivery was the hardest I’ve ever had, and it shook me to my core.

I’ve been through unmedicated childbirth before (most of my deliveries were), but nothing could have prepared me for this one. The pain, the mental strain, the exhaustion—it all reminded me that I’m human. I’m not invincible, and my body has limits.

This experience has been humbling. It made me see that I don’t have to be perfect or pretend that I can do it all. I’m allowed to struggle, to feel overwhelmed, and to admit when things are just plain hard.

I’m not a superhuman, and that’s okay. I’m a mom doing the best I can, even when it feels like it’s not enough. This motherhood journey isn’t about being perfect; it’s about showing up, loving fiercely, and giving myself grace along the way.

Join me as I launch a new series called ‘Why I’m Not Superwoman: A Real Mom of 8’s Journey.’ I’ll be sharing the raw, honest moments of life with a large family, from the toughest delivery I’ve ever experienced to the daily struggles of motherhood. But it’s not all challenges—I’ll also be celebrating the unexpected joys that come with the chaos. This is for every mom who’s ever felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and not enough. 2️⃣8️⃣-3️⃣0️⃣ Weeks pregnant 🤰🏽

30 weeks down, 10 to go! 🗓️✨ It’s crazy to think we’re in the final countdown until baby arrives. Feeling all the feels—excited, nervous, and everything in between. My belly is growing by the day, and so is my anticipation.

Today, as I reflect on the journey of motherhood, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the love, joy, and growth that being a mom has brought into my life.

As I eagerly await the arrival of our eighth bundle of joy, I am reminded of the beauty and wonder of this miraculous journey. Each kick, each flutter, is a gentle reminder of the precious life growing within me, and I am filled with awe and anticipation for the moments yet to come.

To my fellow moms-to-be, may this Mother's Day be a celebration of the incredible journey you are embarking on. Your strength, courage, and love know no bounds, and I am inspired by the beautiful journey you are undertaking.

To the seasoned moms who have been there, done that, and worn the t-shirt (probably with a few spit-up stains), thank you for your wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support. Your love and dedication are the cornerstone of your family, and you are truly superheroes in disguise.

And to my own mom, words cannot express the depth of gratitude I feel for everything you have done for me. You have taught me the true meaning of love, sacrifice, and resilience, and I am forever grateful for you.

Today, let us take a moment to honor and celebrate the extraordinary women who have shaped our lives in countless ways. Whether you are a mom, a grandmother, an aunt, or a mentor, your love and influence are felt far and wide, and you are appreciated more than words can say.

Yesterday, I got to see baby boy Dinkins. As usual he was not trying to cooperate and show his face so I wasn’t able to take home a picture 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’ll get to see him a few more times before I get to officially hold him 🥰
