Here’s what to expect during the healing process:
Day 1: Brows will look very dark, but don’t worry, they lighten as they heal!
Day 2: You may feel a little stinging, but you will be fine. At this point, your brows might look even darker today and some redness may occur.
Day 3: You will probably start scabbing a little and slightly less red than the day before.
Day 4: You’ll notice more scabbing, and your brows will be itch and scratchy at this point. You’ll be tempted to scratch, but resist the urge.
Day 5: At this point you are almost regretting you got your brows done because it will be very itchy and scratchy at this point. Your brows will looked cracked and may start to peel. (DO NOT PULL OR PICK AT SCABS!!)
Day 6: On this day, it looks a little drier. Apart from itchiness, it will look patchy. Again resist the urge to pick at brows!
Day 7: Today, your eyebrows will look very patchy and start to fade away. Actually, for some people, it will look quite faded. But things will start to get better soon.
Day 8: The color will fade about 10% and you will start to feel better about hour your brows are looking. At this point there shouldn’t be anymore peeling or cracking. You will start to look more natural.
Day 9: It looks way better and more natural on day nine. Scabby and peeling are gone, and all is starting to make sense.
Sat 10 and on: Phew! Last day! Congrats, you did it, and you should feel the relief.

Some people are scared to get permanent makeup, so today I will answer some myths I have heard and that have been going around about permanent makeup (PMU).

😖 Is PMU painful? No not at all!
😧 Will this ruin my natural hair growth? PMU does not ruin your natural hair growth.
🏡Can you perform PMU at my house? Not recommended!

Having a perfect brow the lasts is not only done by your artist. It is mostly done by you!
Here’s a tip to make your brows last!
🧴 Retinols, glycolic acid and other creams and serums that contain AHA’s or BHA’s on or around the brows will fade the pigment prematurely and potentially discolor them.
☀️ Wear sunscreen and avoid the sun to protect your brows from UVA or UVB. The harmful rays of the sun can dramatically fade the implanted pigment.
💦 Don’t hit the beach or go swimming in the pool after your procedure as the saltwater and chlorine will affect the quality of the pigment color.
🧖🏻♀️ Limit exfoliate and let any scabbing or dry skin to naturally exfoliate.
📆 Remember to book for a touch up!

I’m just going to say it. I believe in "Wet Healing" for my clients. If you are like most of my clients you’ve done a good amount of research on what to expect from your Ombre Powder appointment both during and after. There is so much conflicting information that it can make you dizzy! Here is what I found works best for my clients. I’m not saying I won’t discover something better in the future but here is what is working best now. I have my clients do a "wet heal" which means, to put it simply, you should use a healing ointment during the healing period. I choose this because it's more comfortable for my clients, there's less scabbing, less risk of infection, and better healing results. Again, my colleagues down the street or around the country might do it differently but after much research and practice, I’ve found this to be the strategy that gives my clients the absolute best results imaginable!
