Finally tried out Ana White’s Adirondack chair plans to make a birthday present for one of my favorite neighbors and I’m in love! I’m definitely going to be making more of these!

What a weekend! The Upstate Renaissance Faire was an amazing experience! Thank you all so much for coming out! There is a whimsical vibe that is truly unique to ren festivals. I love the community of people that show up to these events. YOU ARE MY PEOPLE. I am already looking forward to next year. I have so many new ideas and I can’t wait to see you all again!

On Saturday, a few of you were lucky enough to meet my 16yo son Evan (the artist who draws the animal greeting cards ) when he came to hang out at the booth for a while. He absolutely loved hearing your kind words of support. Plus, his visit happened to be timed perfectly to catch this terrific rainbow! Doesn’t get much better than that!

The opening night of the Renaissance Festival was a blast! We’ll be in downtown Greer at the for one more day! Come see us! We’re here from 10-8, (right next to the wrestling ring)

The challenge of decorating the booth for the renaissance faire was happily accepted by Peter, who immediately designed an entire castle facade that is sure to be a hit at the Upstate Renaissance Faire this weekend. You can see it in person starting Friday but here’s a sneak peek!

I’ve been busy working on some new trays for the upcoming Upstate Renaissance Faire. You all loved these so much last year that I’m making sure I have plenty in stock in a bunch of new color combos. Can’t wait to see everyone again this year! If you’re in the Greer area, come see me at the Renaissance Faire on Sept 8-9. It’s going to be an amazing event!

Here it is! This beautiful piece has been delivered and it looks great on set! The show begins filming next week and I can’t wait to see it in use. I love how this one came together.

Been working on replenishing my supply of cork magnets after they proved to be spectacularly popular at the Azalea Fest in Pickens last Saturday. I’ll be at Main St. Walhalla from 10-3 tomorrow if you want to come see what the fuss is all about!

Just finished up this gorgeous custom 14 inch clock as a teacher gift. The back is engraved with a personalized message of thanks. I think it’s just beautiful 😍

Assembly days are sooooo much easier thanks to this huge new work table designed and built by my very favorite man (thanks, Peter 🙌🏻😘)

P.S. my cat is Bean, short for Princess Tiabeanie. If you understand the reference, Bean is her namesake for obvious reasons; she’s a delightful menace. She was only weeks old when she was pulled from under the wheels of a truck at stoplight. In the months since then, Bean and I have cultivated a really fun relationship. I love her and play with her and pay for her food and pet her and care for her and in return, she destroys my stuff ❤️

Yesterday, The Cottage Industrialist had the privilege of being interviewed for a television segment promoting the upcoming Kringle Holiday Village. It was a little nerve wracking, but I’m happy to report that my overly anxious and introverted heart did not actually explode due to stress 😅

You guys. Today is out to get me. First, a wasp 🐝 (I know that’s not a wasp, just use your imagination) landed on my arm WHILE I was routing my boards. Although my heart rate (and my neighbors) would strongly disagree that I “remained calm,” I did finish said boards and I still have all my fingers, tyvm 🙌🏻

After recovering from that, I get ready to start sanding and see this 🪳 knot out of the corner of my eye and I flinched so hard I almost fell backwards. To make matters worse, I didn’t get any of this on my cameras. Oh well. Back to work.

A few weeks ago, I was engraving some tiles for an upcoming event and caught the attention of my son Evan, who has autism and is a brilliant artist. He wanted me to engrave some of his drawings. I told him to draw some pictures with strong lines and he ran with it (to the tune of about 100 drawings.) Anyway, they turned out beautifully and he’s excited to try to sell them. We will be at the Black Sheep Market GVL tomorrow from 11-3. I’ll have some of my regular stuff to sell (charcuterie boards, serving trays, etc) so swing by if you’re also in the market for a unique trivet, set of coasters, or even a game of Memory - all designed entirely by Evan
