Are your estrogen levels excessively elevated?
Estrogen plays a crucial role in regulating your menstrual cycle and facilitating the growth of the uterine lining prior to ovulation. It also contributes to increased energy, bone formation, positive mood, healthy cholesterol levels, and influences various aspects such as the urinary tract, heart and blood vessels, bones, breasts, skin, hair, and the brain.
However, complications arise when estrogen becomes excessively high or imbalanced compared to progesterone, resulting in a condition called estrogen dominance. Estrogen dominance can negatively impact blood sugar balance, fat metabolism, energy levels, and neurotransmitter production, potentially leading to anxiety and other symptoms.

3 Reasons why PCOS causes weight gain.
Empowering women through awareness: Did you know that more women than men experience anemia due to iron deficiency? This is especially true for pregnant women and those with heavy menstrual bleeding.
Some of the most common symptoms are
•Fatigue
•Weakness
•Dizziness
•Headaches
•Rapid/Irregular heartbeat
If you think you have this type of anemia, it’s important to talk to your healthcare provider.
An endometrial biopsy is a procedure used to collect a small sample of tissue from your endometrium, which is the lining of your uterus. The sample is then sent to a lab, or viewed under a microscope, to detect any changes in your cells or abnormalities in the tissue. An endometrial biopsy can also indicate whether there are problems with your hormone levels.
There are many reasons your provider may order a biopsy of your endometrium, including:
•Checking for cancer in the uterus
•Finding the cause of heavy bleeding
•Evaluating fertility
•Testing your hormone levels
How is an endometrial biopsy performed?
To perform the biopsy, your provider first inserts a speculum into your va**na to hold the walls back. Next, a thin tube called a pipelle is inserted through the speculum and extended up into your uterus through your cervix. By moving the pipelle back and forth, she collects a tissue sample. The entire procedure typically takes 10 minutes or less.
Knowledge is power! Let's dive into the world of women's health and demystify the differences between a Pap smear and a pelvic exam. 🩺
Pap Smear: A Pap smear, also known as a Pap test, is a screening procedure that checks for cervical cancer. During a Pap smear, a healthcare provider gently collects cells from the cervix using a small brush or spatula. These cells are then sent to a lab to be examined for any abnormal changes or precancerous cells. It is recommended that women start getting regular Pap smears around the age of 21 or as advised by their healthcare provider.
Pelvic Exam: A pelvic exam is a comprehensive evaluation of a woman's reproductive organs, including the va**na, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. It involves both external and internal examinations. During a pelvic exam, the healthcare provider may visually examine the external genitalia, perform a manual examination of the internal organs, and may use a speculum to view the cervix. This exam helps detect abnormalities, such as infections, cysts, fibroids, or signs of other reproductive health conditions.
While a Pap smear is often part of a routine pelvic exam, it's important to note that they serve different purposes. A Pap smear focuses specifically on detecting cervical cancer, while a pelvic exam provides a broader assessment of the reproductive organs. Regular pelvic exams are recommended for women, typically starting in their late teens or early twenties, to ensure overall reproductive health and detect any potential issues early on.
Remember, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice and to schedule regular screenings based on your age, medical history, and any specific concerns you may have.
