The paradox of reality is that no image is as compelling as the one which exists within our own mind’s eye.
Thus, we see through a unique personal lens of perception.

And our lens of perception is through which we determine what is real, what is not, what feels right, what does not, how we discern and decide.

Sometimes our lens gets smudged with sticky fingers, creating illusion and distortion. Maybe we don’t notice it too much at first, so we keep on moving about our lives. But if the lens gets cloudier, we can keep adapting to the alteration in our perception - which can really take us out of clarity and connection - or we wipe the lens clean.

How do we do that?
To see from a pure heart and an open mind?

For me, getting sober and leaving a 15yr partnership was one of the most challenging, monumental & rewarding “wiping of the lens” for me.

Recognizing & exiting a long-standing relational dysfunction and addiction is not easy.
It requires an “all-in” mentality that often means big leaps of faith, death & renewal.

I’m almost 2.5 yrs sober from alcohol and cannabis (not to mention sober from other terrible drugs & destructive substances from many years past).

This has gifted me to a golden opportunity to sift and sort through the contents of my life.

What I saw under the influence then,
is much different than what I see now.

Funny thing is, whatever we see at any given point isn’t necessarily wrong. It’s just where we’re at. It’s our reality.
Same goes for the choices we make and how we show up.

I now truly believe that we are all doing our best with what we have and know at any given point. Yes there’s always room for improvement, some areas more or less.

But no doubt, learning and growing IS the point.
How could we get there without contrast?

To know pain is to know joy.
To know grief is to know love.
To know the dark is to know the light.

From that deep place of experience and feeling, the more we consciously choose to wipe the lens and come to meet ourselves in the unfiltered forms of ourselves, we get to choose how we perceive and how we respond.

I haven’t shared an update on the twins for quite some time. Where does the time go when you’ve got twins tho?! 🫠🦉
They’re 2yrs & 3months old now, a whole lotta fun and always a big energy!

Sister Shanti Love has been talking full sentences, engaging in conscious conversation and retaining storylines from children’s books for quite some time now. She’s sassy & sweet, always telling me she loves me and is absolutely obsessed with dance partying to electronic trance music 🌀🪩💃🏻
Brother Zavi is my tender love nugget.
He’s been the wild card of all my 3 kiddos, being the loudest, most intense & yet extremely sensitive. He’s a lil tank & super strong. Even though his sister is a much faster walker and runner, he’s got the oomph to lift & carry heavy stuffs! He’s obsessed with motorcycles, trucks & machinery and eats like a horse.

Reflecting upon our journey thus far, I’m blown away by the depth we’ve explored together already! I was pregnant with the twins during the pLandemic, stayed out of the medical institution, aligned us with Earth based medicines on a more profound level, bEARTHed the twins naturally at home, endured an intense underworld post partum experienced which essentially took me to the depths of my shadows & asked me to really sift through the contents of my karma, ancestral traumas, habitual patterns & access a more evolved way of existing & working with Shakti Energy.

This month I’m celebrating 12yrs of teaching & creative holistic facilitation in the community! It’s a personal milestone & also a Jupiter return for my public/vocational path.
