Well it's about that time that we send out our dryer vent tips and warning signs. ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ Clogged dryer vents can cause a number of problems 🤯🤯 and can be a big fire hazard. 🔥
Below are just some of the few signs that you could have a clogged vent:

1. When a normal size load takes more than one cycle to fully dry. (This is the first sign to a clogged vent. Pull off your vent line to check the airflow)

2. Your dryer is getting warm but not hot enough to fully dry your clothes. (This could be a sign that a problem is occurring inside your unit) 😳😳

3. Your dryer has stopped heating completely but still runs normal. (This could be a result of a blown fuse or heating element due to the stress of your clogged vent. It can force it to work harder than normal and burn these up! 😬😬)

4. You have noticed moisture or water inside your dryer but don't know where it's coming from. (Clogged vents can trap moisture and condensation due to restricted airflow during cycles. Once the cycle is completed, this moisture can find its way back inside your dryer)

5. Your dryer comes on, runs for a few minutes, then shuts down. (This is another sign of a clogged vent. This is due to the airflow being completely restricted. The dryer will shut down as a defense to not cause a fire)

Clogged vents can cause major house fires. These are dangerous for your home. We recommend at minimum once a year for these to be cleaned out. Twice if you use your dryer more than normal. Get these checked before you have a bigger repair or issue on hand!

Here are a few tips and tricks to keep your refrigerator running as efficiently as possible (the best part? These can be done at home! 🏡)

1. Be sure to keep those coils clean! Did you know that dirty coils can over heat your freon? This can cause your refrigerator to stop cooling! 😳 It's best to keep them dust free (especially if you have pets! )

2. Does your refrigerator have a weird smell to it, even after you have scrubbed it and emptied it? Stick some coffee grounds in there! (We like folgers 🤫). 24 hours should help with that smell!

3. Some models have what's called a drip pan underneath. Check those every once in a while to be sure they stay clean! (You can find the location by checking the refrigerator manual or by a quick internet search. Be sure to include the brand!)

4. Do you have pesky fingerprints on your stainless steel appliances? 😤 Believe it or not, but WD40 can help with that! 🤯

A lot of things like this may seem like you need a professional to do. These are easy! You got this! (Although we know sometimes it's easier for a professional to do it! 😊)
