this hit home. I've been blessed with a ton of love and support and yet I personally shut down when things are too hard. When things start clearing up fpr me, I get to be more selective in who and what comes in my life and this is especially when i look for those that have been supportive, understanding and a light for me. We went to for their we got to walk through the light archways and enjoy the light and music show. The best was being able to start our night off with the kids dance party. 💃🏼🕺🏽🎶

We are local tourists! I love exploring where we live and is all about Whataburger.
They serve grilled cheese sandwiches, have spicy 🌶 ketchup and the staff here was excellent! Friendly and kind and made our first time trying it a great time 🍔🎉

Church! We’ve been getting into our lives here in Texas and it feels good. We are loving the local culture, spending spiritual time and of course working on health.
This is now our second week going to church and I have to say I haven’t gone to church on my own accord as an adult for about 20 years now. It feels good. I have a very different perspective of who I am, what God is and the human elements of religion. This is just a beginning of a new paragraph in my book and I like how it feels.

In the past few years I’ve mourned relationships for what they were and what part I played. My biggest sadness is from my own relationship with me. I’ve struggled to come to terms with life as I know it now. I have been thankful for the struggles and coming to terms with my boundaries and finally blooming from “toxic” relationships. ( I can’t stand that term). I’ve been blessed to be a person that feels deeply and thoroughly. I’ve mourned let go and loved deeply. I’ve seen this saying before and loved it because it really is a hard truth. I embrace my anger, sadness, mourning and growth. Tonight I had an epiphany of how grateful I am to feel grief because I truly cared.

Took an Uber to get my labs today at MD Anderson. 🏥

She asked if I was going for myself.

I said yes.

She then said,
“I wish I had cancer, so I could just go get treatment and get over this.”

I was a little shocked to hear,
“I wish I had ”.

But then thought about her statement.
It could be understood in a lot of different ways.

She’s had for 40 years now and it is .

I fully understand wanting a cure or remission from something.

I also thought of the process that others go through and chemo and treatment are horribly, horribly rough, and do people ever really feel clear?

There is always and stage and it forever lingers in one way or another.

Any disease is terrible and especially something that takes away for an “end”.

Chronic sucks no matter what it is.
🌹
We all have our battles and a comparison does not alleviate the pain either way.

I had so many more thoughts on this but now I’m in the waiting room wishing I could be in bed.
