Well we have almost finished another year. As I look back and reflect, I know I have truly been blessed. Im so thankful for my wife, family, friends, customers, and the great team at Short and Paulk that I have the privilege of working with every day. Jay Short & I each have a son on the verge of marriage. As always, Jay got the song going…We put our heads together with the ultra-talented duo of Gary (The Guru) DiBenedetto & Henry (W***y) McGill & approached this one in much the same way as Dancing On the Hangman’s Rope & No More Tears. It’s a fantastic trio of musicians, & I’m lucky to be involved.
We got personal with this one. It’s a look back into the heart of a kid who’d found a one-of-a-kind. The love of his life. Does she feel anywhere near the same?
37 years later, that Pennie has made me the richest man alive, & I thank God every day.

Thanks for all the comments on the song we posted earlier today. Here is another original song we recorded at Studio D. Stephen and I rewrote the entire last verse on the fly in the studio. This one goes out to all the empty-nesters out there. Hopefully we will get back in the studio soon to finish up the cd.
