National public Safety Telecommunicators Week has ended but we never stop honoring our dispatchers 365 days a year. Without them Tift 911 would not exist. They are the best. Thanks to everyone for their support. Not only during our special week but every day.

Let’s meet one of our veteran dispatchers. Everyone meet Pamela Stuckey. Pam has been with Tift 911 for 19 years. She is a 1987 graduate of Tift County High school. Pam says her greatest accomplishment is her family. Pam has one daughter, Shelby and a one grandson, Grayson.

Pam quoted: I adore my daughter Shelby Rose and my grandson Grayson. I share them all the time with my 911 family. I have loved being a dispatcher because I have always been someone willing to help others.

In Honor of Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, everyone meet Dani Sparks. Dani is a Communications Officer with Tift E-911. She has been with our agency close to one year.
When asked what she loves about being a dispatcher, Dani quoted :

I’ve always been interested in criminal justice but dispatching had never crossed my mind. There became an opportunity for me, so an individual I strongly look up to encouraged me to take this opportunity and I’ve now been at Tift Co 911 close to a year now.
I have decided to continue my education in criminal justice.

Dispatching is nothing like anyone thinks it is, it’s so much more. To be someone’s life line on a bad day until further help arrives is what keeps me going as a dispatcher. Some days are harder than others, but it’s so rewarding in knowing that you’re making an impact on the community even when they don’t see it happening. Not only are we serving the community day in and day out, we’re the life line of the units to keep them safe so they can go home after every shift. Being a dispatcher definitely changes your perspective on life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

In honor of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week:
Meet Ladonna Rentz. Ladonna has employed with our agency for 1 1/2 years. She’s serves as a shift supervisor.

Ladonna quoted: I am the mommy to the most amazing one year old in the world. His name is Beau ❤️ . There was always 2 things I was suppose to do in life. Be Beaus mama, and be a dispatcher. I love dispatching, I get to be the calm voice on someone’s worst day. I get to help others and show them compassion at its finest. I get to make sure all my units make it home safely. I am apart of the greatest dispatch team in the world, well at-least my world. And I get to go home at the end of the day knowing I in some way made the world a little bit better. I wouldn’t trade dispatching for anything and I am glad I get to wake up and do it everyday.

In honor of Public Safety Telecommunicators Week:

Everyone meet Tina Gay, 911 Director. Tina has been a part of 911 world for 21 years. She is married and the mother of 4 children. She has been with Tift County for 12 years, 5 of those years as Director.

Tina quoted: I love being part of a great team that helps the community and helps people in their worst time and being there to calm them, and send them the help they need. It takes a special kind a person to be a dispatcher
