Yup. The snow sure isn’t there, but all our favorite places still are. Go support them so they are still there when the snow finally does fly! A trip without snow sure isn’t the same, but is still does the soul good to get away.

Updated Trail Class information for Michigan Snocross at Northern Power Race Park. If you ever wanted to try snocross here’s your opportunity! Come out and give it a try and have fun! There might not be snow on the trails but there’s plenty at the track! Can’t wait to see you there!

Class spotlight: Trail and Jr Trail ❄ A Michigan Snocross class for those trail sled junkies!

We worked with Mitchell Scott 514 to bring you an updated set of rules and regulations for both classes:

- Amateur riders only. Our goal with this class is to grow the sport of snocross.
- Rider protection equipment regulations pertain to this class (i.e. TekVest, helmet, boots, etc.)
- A tether switch is required.
- Production trail sleds only, it should be a trail-ready machine. No snocross sleds.
- Must have trail permit/registration/proof of insurance.
- Any displacement two-stroke/four-stroke allowed. Pump gas only, no race fuel-powered sleds.

Mother Nature is really putting the brakes on racing this year.

Unfortunately, with the change of Park Rapids now becoming a lake race rather than a terrain race, I’ll be looking for different events that weekend as I’m not set up for lake racing. What a bummer!

For immediate release…

Unfortunately Mother Nature has forced a pause & conditions are not safe for us to move forward with Rd 1 and Rd 2

We are working with our venues and backup venues on making up these two points paying events and will do everything we can to ensure we have 7 point races as scheduled.

Also with the current conditions and forecasted conditions the Heartland 200 event will be moved to Fish Hook Lake. The lake currently has 10” of ice and with colder weather forecasted in two weeks we will be able to run that event as scheduled.

We know the terrain race is a fan and racer favorite but there’s currently no snow, no snow in the forecast, and a large portion of this course runs through Paul Bunyan State Forest so we have to work with the MN DNR for access. This decision is one that is not made easily for the Heartland group or the series but we have to be responsible and make these tough decisions so we don’t cause further issues in the future of this event.

Registration for the Heartland 200 will open later today on the website.

Ditchbangers | Race Park Calling all snowmobile enthusiasts! Bring out those older sleds and come race on the snocross track. These events are designed to provide an entertaining experience for both the racers and the fans.

Finally washed up the RX-C after the mud fest at rounds 1&2 of Michigan Snocross. Slick Products off-road wash in the foam cannon came in clutch. 🤘🏼 Rounds 3&4 in just under two weeks!

Big things coming from Donks Designs MI. If you need custom graphics or a custom wrap for your sled, there’s no one better.

#1 present on our list this year was to move Donks Designs out of our house and into a building! Everyone who’s ordered from us in the last 2 years has helped play a part in helping us achieve exactly that! Told y’all we had a big surprise up our sleeves!!!! Donks Designs officially has a new home in Cadillac, MI. So many of our friends have been keeping this secret helping us move in and build a climate controlled printing room. All of our currently scheduled installations will be moved to this building and we can now start scheduling more work for installs! If we’re slow at responses over the next week just know we’ve been busy day and night trying to keep up with orders while moving into this building. We still have a week or two left to finish our printing room before we will be open to the public. We cannot thank everyone enough that’s joined us during our journey to get here. From a small 2 person operation out of our garage and living room to a full blown commercial building. This is a huge commitment and a huge step for us and we’re excited to see what having this kinda space to work in will do for us!! Stay tuned for an open house date/party!

Last week I had to get a new set of tires for my truck, the originals were smoked. Sure am glad I did with the mess I ran into at the track up north.

I landed on a set of 4 Cooper Tire Discoverer AT3 XLT all terrain tires. I am throughly impressed how they did in mud, snow and on ice. They’re fairly quiet and the ride is great. Best of all, made in the USA. 10/10 recommend.

Also wanted to thank 1 STOP SPEED SHOP in Toledo, OH for getting them mounted and balanced for me.

Shout out to Ashley Lizzie Photography for toughing out the weather to snag some dope pictures this weekend at snocross. This is one of my favorites!

Round 2 of Michigan Snocross today was a success.

I was again the solo entry in the Trail sled class securing first place and the season points.

I was grouped to share the track with the Pro Women class as they also had low registration count. Let me tell you, those girls can ride and are FAST. It was a blast riding with them this weekend.

Conditions were better today thanks to colder temps and a dusting of snow.

Can’t wait for the next race! 🤘🏼

In my opinion half of winning is showing up. The other half is finishing what you start. I race the track, not my competitors. If I conquer the track better than my competitors, maybe I’ll be lucky enough to take home the win.

Unfortunately I didn’t have any competitors in my class today. However, because I showed up, and I finished the race I took home the win.

Aside from that I learned A LOT on track today and can carry that knowledge into the next rounds which is a huge win in itself.

Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported me. Especially my family, friends, sponsors and trusted vendors/suppliers. It means a lot to me and I appreciate you all so much.

Things have gone down hill in a hurry 😅

Only snow left is on the track and even that is melting fast.

Practice was messy to say the least. Warm weather isn’t helping matters, but making the best of it!

Locked and loaded, headed north to Northern Power Race Park this weekend for the first two rounds of snocross for the season!

Few years back I switched to a CKX Titan helmet. It was the best decision I ever made on a helmet. This year I needed to replace my original Titan with one that met current ISR certification requirements. This carbon model will get it done. 🤘🏼

Less than a full work week away from the first race of the year. Let’s goooooo!

It's race week!! We are so excited to kick off the Michigan Snocross season on Saturday.

Registration for Rounds 1 & 2 is open until Wednesday this week https://secure.tracksideprereg.com/nprp/.

Important information:
❄️If enough riders are registered for the 40+ class, the class will be added to the schedule.
❄️ Riders meetings are mandatory, if you do not attend you will not be allowed to race.
❄️ Podiums will be held during track maintenance after finals. Please be ready at the podium after your final concludes.

Few weeks ago I took my ‘18 XF8000 to John's Performance Shop for a top end. They did a great job and had it fixed up in no time. I appreciate their help and service very much!

Really glad I didn’t wait to fix this. Found the clutch side piston was not only scuffed on the exhaust side, but had cracked on the opposite side below the injector window. Dodged a catastrophic failure here. If something doesn’t look right, don’t just send it!

Less than two weeks before the first round of snocross. Gotta keep after it no matter the time of day🤘🏼

I’m so stoked to see snow being made at Northern Power Race Park. Just over two weeks to go before the season kicks off!

And so it begins 🤩❄️

I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for this year on Thanksgiving.

But one thing I want to express gratitude towards specifically is those who often have to work on holidays and miss out on time with their families. I personally know what it’s like as I’m an on-call refrigeration technician and worked most of the day. These people sacrifice their time at home to help others.

So to all the men and women who are out there keeping the world turning for those around us, holiday or not, I want to sincerely thank you for all you do. One service professional to another.
