In case you missed it, I'm teaching two workshops at DanceFam Ballroom & Latin Studio tomorrow! Hope to see you there! :)

We are super excited about a specialty workshop series we have at the Toledo Studio this coming Saturday (Sept. 16).

We have belly dance instructor Jen Bak of Aegela Centers for Middle Eastern Dance coming in to talk about isolations and muscle control, plus elements of adding fluidity to your movements.

She will offer 2 workshops of an hour each -- Foundations of Isolations at 4 pm and Ooey gooey Slink: Adding Fluidity at 5 pm.

Afterward, we are having a Hips & Sips Latin Dance Party from 630-8 pm

These are going to be great workshops for anyone who is looking to gain better control overall in your dancing and feel more comfortable in your movements.

Costs for the workshops are $25 each or both for $40, and anyone who attends at least one workshop can attend the social as part of the package.

Hello, my local (419 area) followers, fans, and friends! Toledo City Paper is having their nominations for Best of Toledo. Under the category **Art**, please nominate our bellydance studio under **Dance Classes** - "Aegela Centers for Middle Eastern Dance" (or if you just put in Aegela, they should get it.) .

Our troupe was absolutely delighted to be guests at the Bird's Eye View Circus stage at Toledo Pride this year! There first show was before ours and it was really nice getting to sit and be an audience member for a bit. Fantastic performance by BEVC!

Thank you to the WTOL 11 Good Morning for featuring me and the Aegela Centers for Middle Eastern Dance! I got to teach Steven and Amanda a little bellydance to help kickstart their day and promote the special, one-night only lesson at Toledo Spirits Company on Thursday, July 13th. And thanks to Zach Beery of Sacred Shimmy Studio for letting me use his music in the segment.

Eeeee!!! So excited! I'm going to be on 13ABC's The Nine on Tuesday, May 30th and WTOL 11's Good Day on Wednesday, May 31st to demonstrate singing bowls! :D

They'll each be an approximate 4-minute segment and I'm not sure exactly when between 9 and 10 I'll be on.

AND!!! I'm going to be on Channel 11 Good Morning Show May 31st in the 9 o'clock hour! They're going to have me do a demo and also talk about my photography. :D :D :D

Come relax to soothing singing bowls and also learn about their history, vs the commonly spread "wishtory".

Once again, I'm doing a series of Singing Bowl Soundbaths for at the Toledo Public Libraries. Not only will you get to relax to the lovely soothing tones of a collection of antique metal singing bowls, you'll also learn about their history vs. their "mythstory/wishtory" (Spoiler - "Tibetan" singing bowls aren't as Tibetan as you think. ;) )

Did you miss us at the Art Loop Toledo Summer Spectacular? The Aegela Centers for Middle Eastern Dance performed several numbers and taught a bellydance lesson to the crowd. We were also right next to our friends from Bird's Eye View Circus - Always love seeing them perform and getting to hang out with them at performances!

Friday evening at Toledo Pride I'm performing a solo in the 630 to 800 pm block. And on Saturday, my troupe House of Spice Bellydance is in the parade, then performing on the main stage. Hope to see you there! :)

Save the Date! Festival of India. August 14th, Centennial Terrace. Lots of great vendors, food, and of course - Dances!! The Aegela Centers for Middle Eastern Dance have been invited to do a bellydance performance in between all the Bollywood and traditional Indian dances. Hello, lovelies! Super excited to be part of the Create Community Art Fest put on by the amazing Halina Schriefer and Ordinary Pioneer Yoga and Healing, LLC! I will be doing a bellydance demo and mini-lesson at 2:30 and also do a singing bowl soundbath during the 12:30 yoga session. Hope to see you there!
