Adore Wedding Photography

Sometimes our favorite images come from when we least expect it.

This was the end of the night for us, still the party was continuing but our time with Juliana & Phil was up. We decided to take them out for a glimpse of sunset, Phil couldn't keep his hands off of her - who would blame him??? These sweet seconds gave them a chance to embrace each other and steal away a few kisses.

In fact, how you feel during your engagement session is very important to us - because we know how vulnerable & awkward it can be to be in front of a lens. Which is why we want to spend some time getting to know you both. We don’t just barrel into your session with cameras a-blazin’! We will spend time walking, chatting and encouraging you both until we feel that you’ve let your guard down and are able to relax.

We'll take your story, your interests, and your quirks, and we'll use them to create something truly unique. So, in essence, shouldn't feel like work to you—it'll feel like just being yourselves, and that's the best way to get genuine, heartfelt photographs. Trust us, the more you share, the more amazing your pictures will be.

And sometimes, it is just going to be awkward! If you can get comfortable with the thought of being a little uncomfortable; if you can let that guard down, even just a little….

Remember, it's all about capturing the real, the raw, the joyous moments between you two. So let's not be afraid to get a little silly, a little sentimental, and a whole lot of real. Because when you do, that's when we can create photos that are not just 'nice', but 'WOW, these are truly us.'

The thing I loved most about Peggy & Milo's elopement at was that they giggled and laughed the whole time! They were wonderful to photograph and I enjoyed meeting their sweet families as well.

With Peggy and Milo being together for 14 years, their families were ready for them to officially wed.

This quote from Greg Williams I have posted up on my wall, to remind me of why Loren and I decided to photograph our first wedding and why I'm currently getting ready to photograph another this afternoon. It keeps my perspective focused on you and your needs and is the reason why couples reach out to us looking for a wedding photographer!

After over 12 years, our mission has not changed and we are still honored to see what pictures you love and want to showcase either in your albums or in your homes!

Welcome to our home!

If you message us about your upcoming wedding, expect to get an invite to our home for coffee.

Why?

Because coffee. Loren makes a pretty mean cup. Coffee shops can be a distraction, but here we are free to take our time and really listen to the two of you and hear what's most important to you.

Because this is the best place for us to get to know you, share albums and wedding stories and know that we are the best fit to document your day!

Getting IN there!

I'll never forget the surprise of this Father of the Bride jumping into the center of the dance floor and getting down!!!!

We want your images to look the way it feels, we have to actually BE there and participate, experience your wedding just as your guests are, then we'll freeze those moments for eternity.

Q: Should you see each other before your ceremony???

That depends!

Here are our pros and cons to having a First Look:

PROS:
- the two of you get more quality time together
- it's private
- nerves are washed away and you can relax and enjoy the remainder of your wedding day!
- more time for couples portraits

CONS:
- first looks are less-traditional than seeing each other at your ceremony
- the "drama" of seeing each other down the aisle may not be as dramatic
- sometimes this can mean less time for couples portraits

We don't push one way or another, but we do like to talk about this before your wedding day as we will work to plan our wedding photography timeline based on what you ultimately decide.

We can tell you that not one couple has ever said: "I wish we never did a first look!"

I’ve been thinking about how lucky Loren and I are to be able to truly connect with the friends, couples and families we meet. This doesn’t happen because we are “good photographers” but it naturally happens when Loren and I are able to be ourselves. 

I thought it would be fun to share with you a little about me, Mary Beth: 

I grew up in Redford MI with my three sisters (one of which is my identical twin). Having the four of us girls in the same house was a lot of fun, we always had someone to play with and one of my favorite memories is making beauty pageant sashes for our Miss America pageant with the computer printer…you know the one with the holes that carries the paper through and then you rip the sides off???? We would also make restaurant menus called “Sally’s Place” where my sisters would feed us pb&j sandwiches at our little school desks.

I thought I was going to be a chef. Throughout high school I was in a vocational program where I studied culinary arts for 2 years. Growing up with lots of yummy polish and hungarian food, my dream was to create a restaurant in a big city that had breakfast and coffee/tea in the street front during the day, the back would be comfort European foods for dinner. When I graduated high school, I quickly realized that although I loved being in the kitchen, I didn’t have the passion for it once I experienced ….. CHAIN RESTAURANTS!!!   Now I just enjoy cooking what I want for my family and friends. Not sure if there is anything better than good food with good people. 

I LOVE dancing, singing and music! When the dancefloor opens it takes every ounce of my concentration to continue to photograph when all I wanna do is dance the night away! I also tend to bust out in random song anytime a situation or conversation becomes a segway to a lyric saved in my brain. My head doesn’t always have space to remember what I did yesterday but I can easily sing an entire song or recite my favorite monologue on cue and this gives me so much joy!

Find someone you can walk through anything with!

We have found our marriage to be the greatest blessing in our lives. Life can be super hard but with each other we know that we can walk through anything so long as we are together! We hope that the friends that we are meeting and photographing their wedding day know just how special it is to have that best friend, the one who you don’t have to actually do or say anything while you are together, just their presence brings you a calm from the storm. 

That’s real love with a best friend.

Whether you're a recently engaged couple or you are just getting to the planning of your wedding day, most of our couples are scheduling their engagement sessions for the upcoming spring/summer. Your engagement session should be about the two of you and the things you love together.

Having photographers you enjoy being around is a bonus and your engagements is a great way for us to get to know you both. We want you to have fun and remember all the things that made you fall in love!

We post this morning to welcome the new year as we reflected on what 2023 has brought us.

Thank you to all of the couples who allowed us to experience their day with them and trusted us to capture the beautiful, funny and heartfelt moments on their wedding days. We would not have grown to be the photographers we are today without you.

Thank you to our wedding industry friends for allowing us to be ourselves and lending a helping hand when we have needed it. There is something truly special about this industry and the people who support each other.

Lastly, thank you to our future couples who we are excited to meet with and get to know this year and next. We hope that the New Year brings love and joy to all and we will be there to celebrate with you!!!
