Swipe to see a before picture of this room. I honestly didn’t know how I wanted this room to look like. And because we couldn’t afford getting everything all at once, I added one piece at a time. I also used things we already have, and this is where I end up.

Ready for Halloween 🎃 even though it’s not the greatest front porch decor out there haha. It’s simple and under budget lol. We picked out these pumpkins during pumpkin patch and the kids can’t wait to carve them. Remember, we grew up in Tonga and there’s no such thing as Halloween lol. We are still figuring things out as we go.
Happy Thursday!
A few of the projects we’ve done so far.
Another thing that I forgot I bought is this framed canvas wall art from .. it was still wrapped and saved in our laundry room this whole time. When I deep-cleaned our son’s room, I went to grab something from the laundry room and saw it. I then decided to hang it and the next thing I knew, I was re-arranging and re-decorating the entire room. Let me tell you, it was healing to my soul haha. I don’t know, but it makes me happy when I clean our house and re-decorate. My design vision is limited by our budget, however, that’s when I needed to be more creative and reused what we already have. As the saying goes, “what I don’t have, I don’t need. And what I don’t need, I don’t have.”
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
(I was going for an outdoorsy/earthy vibe for our son’s room, but I didn’t have the rug, etc. I imagined or wanted so this will do. Again, these are all things I already have. I’m thinking of repainting his drawer and since he will be needing a toddler bed soon, I won’t worry about the crib. I just wished we did the wall treatment all around the room. Also, my favorite thing about this room is the green velvet curtains. I never thought in a million years that I would be using a green curtain haha).
We just got back last night from our family reunion trip, and it felt good to come back to a clean house. However, I only enjoyed it for like two seconds lol. Life with kids haha.
I’m not ready for fall yet. Or to get my fall decor out. And plus, I just sold our couches in the living room so it’s looking bare right now. The ones we had wasn’t the most comfortable, so we’re on the hunt for one that’s comfortable but nice. And that won’t happen until after our basement is done. Just can’t wait to be done with our basement so we can move furnitures around and put everything where they’re supposed to go. We’ve put a lot of investments in our basement so I can’t wait!
A few of the things I ordered for our basement. Still waiting on the appliances and some other furniture pieces. But today we will start working on getting materials for wall moulding and accent walls in the basement.
Some shots from yesterday!
Moni and the kids just got here yesterday from NZ and they had been sleeping for days lol. Jet lag is real! It took me 2 days to adjust when I got back, but still not fully there. I think this week we’ll just rest and then next week we’ll get back to working on our basement!
Love how this room turned out to be! Swipe to see how it was before lol. Anyways, a little update. We’re on our way to Tonga (for the 3rd time this year lol), for my sister’s wedding for two weeks. I’m hoping to keep showing y’all some of our cultures but we’ll see at how good I remember to record lol. Also, if it goes as planned we’re also wanting to renovate Moni’s house there. I’ll keep y’all posted. Much love and hope you all have the best week!
Hope everyone is having a great Sabbath day! And hope that you get the rest you need.

Instead of staining, I ended up wanting to just paint the top of the built-in desk to be same paint as everything else. We also made an opening on top of it so we can hide the wires for lamp, chargers, etc. And if you’ve watched our story, we also made a hole inside one of the cabinets where the printer is at to hide the printer and the wire for it.
Still waiting and deciding on which office chair I want cause the first one I ordered was broken when it arrived so I had to return it.
Next project is just working on our basement and we’ve made some progress so far. Stay tuned for more. And check our link in our bio for all the sources.
Hope you all have the best week! I also forgot to mention where we got the inspiration for this fireplace wall. is where we got the inspiration from. Swipe to see the before.

(Love our new desk! The only thing left to do here is to stain or paint the top or desk part of the built-in. Still can’t decide which color to use).
Looking back at some of our accomplishments! Sources are all in the link in our bio.
Still photos of our bedroom with the beams we just built and installed.
Happy New Year! Much love from us to you.
New year, new chapter, new goals! Excited to see what y’all will come up with this year!
These photos of our home deserves a place in our feed.
Home takes time. Don’t be like me and rush to do everything in the beginning cause it only led me to some poor financial decisions lol.
Anyways, happy holidays and wishing you all the best!
Happy Sunday everyone! I wanted to pull out our Christmas tree today, but everyone in our house is sick so … lol. I’m just gonna be right here on our couch just relaxing, cause sometimes it’s the best thing to do haha. In the meantime, here are some still photos of our main floor. Hope y’all is having a great weekend!
Happy Sunday & Happy Halloween weekend everyone!
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy weekend! We’re going for a little getaway this weekend to Cali (with no kids lol), so hopefully we’ll be fully recharged for the week 😅.

I don’t think I’ve shared this room as much before. But this was one of the rooms in our very first renovation project. I wish we had more budget to do more in this room, but we had to use our budget and our focus on the living room and kitchen. Also, the most expensive thing in this room was this full size bunk bed. The owner wanted it for kids and also to fit more people in this room since it was going to be an . I wanted to get a rug and a lot of other things, but again, our budget was limited. So we thought the most inexpensive thing to do to give it an upgrade was to do the accent wall. (The mirror was free so I thought to put it here).

Wishing everyone a blessed Sunday!
Hoping everyone is doing well! I just wanted to post some still photos of this bedroom’s transformation. Swipe left to see the ‘before.’
(Sometimes when I can’t find a babysitter, I’d take my kids with me to our job sites. And on this one, I picked up my cousin so she can watch the kids outside, while I quickly decorate this bedroom. A mom’s life, it’s so fun lol 😅).
Needed a moment to just be still, slow down and breathe 🧘🏻♀️.
Hope y’all are having a great day!
