August '22 Rank Test
Look who we ran into!
R -γL
Tess Peasnall (Tuhon Ricardo's Daughter), G**o Alayna Brinkerhoff, G**o Don Brinkerhoff & Punong G**o Brent Peasnall
Now the TRULY remarkable part is WHERE we ran into each other. Any guesses before I reveal it?
(I'll upload the answer in a couple days)
Congratulations to everyone who tested on Saturday August 20th!
Alayna Brinkerhoff and Spencer Parkinson were both promoted to 3rd Degree Black Belt.
Kaldon Brinkerhoff, Erin Greenwell and Garrett Bloomquist were all promoted to Black Belt.
And Ian Brinkerhoff was promoted to Brown Belt.
This was the first Rank Promotion overseen by Tuhon Scotty Gerton. We appreciate Tuhon for coming from Washington State to be with us in Utah.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!
Marine Sgt Maj John Canley, Medal of Honor hero of the Battle of Hue, has died "He was a Marineβs Marine."
This is a link for Tuhon Brian Gillis.
He was promoted at the same time as Tuhon Scotty and is part of the US Kali Association. Check out his website!
We're hopeful he'll be able to put on a seminar or two for us in the future.

Datu Gerton and I had an AMAZING weekend in El Paso, Texas with members of the US Kali Association. We enjoyed learning some Police Arrest and Control tactics as well as some more Stick & Knife work from Tuhon Linda Ruby and Tuhon Sal Moralez.
In addition to making some new friends, Datu Gerton was promoted to Tuhon of his own Filipino Martial Arts system. So CONGRATULATIONS Tuhon Scotty Gerton of the Lampinig Martial Arts System. πββοΈ
Thank You this day for all those who've ever worn the uniform and given of themselves to serve and protect our country.
We especially honor Datu Scotty Gerton and G**o Spencer Parkinson who are both US Marines (once a Marine - always a Marine) and G**o Jared Holloway who was called to active duty while serving in the National Guard. All three deserve our GREAT thanks.
Salamat Po! πββοΈ
Check out the cut!
THANKS Tuhon Sal! Nothing beats getting smacked by a Tuhon! It's a privilege few people get to enjoy. πββοΈ
This is the way I will always remember Tuhon.
His laughter was infectious, and came easily.
Rest in peace until we meet again.
Maraming Salamat Po Tuhon. π
