Holding on to split ends will leave you with short brittle hair.
Are you seeing little, to no growth with your hair?
You may need to trim your ends.
My personal style of maintaining split ends is “little by little”. Sometimes getting a haircut to rid yourself of split ends immediately is not for everybody. So I recommend trimming ends up to a half of an inch for 2-3 consecutive appointments. For some less is needed but that is my standard assessment. This method has worked for years with my clients and they don’t experience the dramatic chop to immediately eliminate split ends. But what they do experience is hair growth. 🙌🏽
