I'm thrilled to share the big news! Many of you know that my big brother Scott was a police officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty. His name is on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC. Today I received the news that my painting was accepted into an upcoming exhibit that will hang in the National Law Enforcement Officers Museum for a year. And the exhibit opens on September 28 - Scott's birthday! This one's for Scott!
So thrilled that my painting is not only in the Michigan Watercolor Society 77th Annual Exhibition, but last night it was selected by juror Stan Kurth for the Marie F. Pisto Honorarium Award! I'm so grateful! This show will remain at the Dennos Museum until September 1, and then travel for the remainder of the year.
Tomorrow I'll be bringing new work and painting at Chateau Chantal Winery for Sunday Funday, an event supporting the Cherryland Humane Society. This is a mixed media painting of a wine dinner on their back patio.
Thursday at The Alluvion I'll be painting the Jeff Haas Trio featuring Laurie Sears. Music at 6pm
