You might have noticed that one part of the New Life School looks a little unfinished. This classroom and a pair of teacher restrooms need a little work. The budget for the project is $2600. Today would have been my mother's 101st birthday. In the years after my dad's death in 2013 until her passing in 2020, she spend a great deal of time and effort supporting two causes. The first is the O. Donald and Martha Meaders Agriculture & Natural Resources Endowment (https://givingto.msu.edu/gift/index.cfm?sid=7172) that supports students wtudying to become agriculture teachers. The second is the New Life School supported by Living Media International (livingmedia.org/take-action). With her help, the Endowment reached over $100,000 before death. Her support of the New Life School has enabled hundreds of children in rural Haiti to receive an education. If either of these projects touch your heart, I encourage you to make a gift in her memory.

A group of secondary students from New Life Primary School recently competed in a regional knowledge competition and came away as the champions! This is their second win in an event like this. Many of the students at this school cannot afford to attend other schools in the region. New Life is giving them a great education and your contributions to the school at livingmedia.org are making this possible. The Haitian school year will not end until late July this year.
