Look at that color! I just put this Chuck roast on the Recteq 1250. The beautiful color is from the Willingham's World Champion BBQ W’ham sauce! It smells sooooo good. Ready to get this roast rolling so we can have some pulled beef for dinner tonight. Seasoned with Blues Hog Bold and Beefy & Butcher BBQ Premium rub.

Holy cow! This pork was amazing. I did end up adding Smokin Guns Hot rub in with this pork. But the honey pecan is one of my favorite flavor combos!

Off The Rack BBQ Competition Cook Team competed at the Beltway BBQ Showdown with a 12th in chicken, 5th in pork, 14th in ribs & 8th in brisket with a 7th overall finish!

Bad Rooster BBQ with the big win of the weekend with Grand Champion, 4th Chicken, 13th Ribs, 3rd Pork and 2nd in Brisket
Southern Life BBQ one of our backyard teams stepped up to pro this weekend since there was no backyard contest - and did they hit it hard with a 6th overall, 3rd chicken, 19th ribs, 12th pork and 5th in brisket. Great Job guys!
Third Swine’s Charm Competition BBQ our newest addition came in with 12th Overall, 15th Chicken, 15th Ribs, 9th Pork and 4th in Brisket. Solid cook all around!
The BBQ Asylum landed with 8th overall, 10th chicken, 7th ribs, 5th pork and 18th brisket!

WHAT a day! Southern Life BBQ competed at the Honeybee Festival - LaFayette, GA today in the Pro division Master Series. I normally cook backyard, but decided to give the Pro side a try. We faired well with a 6th place overall score out of 25 great teams! A big part of that was my partner Michael Williams! We received a 3rd place chicken call and a 5th place brisket call! Ribs were 19th and pork was 12th. I had a great time hanging out with my BBQ buddies. Thanks to Jeremy Gerbz Agard for bringing me a Kona Ice, haha! It was great.

I want to give a big congrats to Adam Taunya Dawkins with Bad Rooster BBQ for an awesome GC and My good friend Shawn Causby with Choo Choo BBQ- East Brainerd for the reserve grand champion!!

Smoking some wings today for our Memorial Day cookout. Brining them in Butcher BBQ brine and injection. This stuff is amazing for chicken! If you’re brining, this product is a must!

2 cups for a gallon of water for the full strength. You can do 1 cup for 1/2 strength to a gallon of water. Mix and brine for 4-5 hours.

My buddy Michael Williams and I headed down to Calhoun to compete at the 2024 BBQ Boogie & Blues this weekend. We also entered the brisket ancillary. We had a great cook! Had a great time hanging out with bbq friends.
