Got the day off yesterday so I took a solo trip up to Keuka and was surprised that I was the only boat at the launch and did not see another boat the entire day!! I managed to catch a lot of quality smallmouth, just no real big ones but managed 15lbs!!! Went to Conesus last week and had a good day!!! Me and Beaux caught quite a few fish and ended up catching a mixed bag with our best 5 going for 21lbs!!! My two biggest were 4.25 and 4.02lbs each!!! Went to Keuka yesterday and had the perfect fall day!!! The fishing started off slow but we figured something out late and managed to find a few!!! Caught most of my fish on a 1/2oz Blue Rock Custom Tackle Flipping Jig in Green Pumpkin on a 7'3 Jenko DCVR Gambler Series Heavy rod with 20lb Vicious Fishing Fluorocarbon!!! Tournament season might not have been my best, but I had one of my better big fish years with 3 over 6lbs so far!!!

The 2023 Tioga County Bass Anglers season was an up and down season for me!!! I knew I could not finish first in points since I would miss a couple of tournaments, but I still had the goal of defending my title well!!! I was able to fish 7 regular season events and the Don Heck Memorial Classic tournament!!! Like I said, the events were up and down, but it was still a fun season!!! This year seemed to be the year of catching a lot of fish, just not getting the quality that was needed to do well!!! After it was all said and done, I finished 8th in the regular season points standings and 7th in the Don Heck Classic!!! I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for a safe season and my family, my co-angler William, friends, fans, and sponsors for all their support this season!!! Tournaments may be over, but there is still a lot of good fishing yet to come!!! This past weekend was the Skip Bastian Memorial Fall Three Day Tournament!!! Day 1 saw us at Hammond were we had a slow start but figured out how to generate some bites and managed to cull a couple times right at the end!!! We ended the day with 6 fish worth 9.88lbs which had us in sixth place!!! Day two saw us on Tioga and we managed to put three fish in the boat pretty quick, but the sun came out and we could not boat another keeper the rest of the day!!! We ended the day with three fish for 4.41lbs which had us maintain 6th place but with a wider gap. Knowing how big the gap was and the fact that Cowanesque was a 4 fish 15in limit, we knew we had to strictly target big fish and that is what we did. I picked two areas I have caught better than average fish before and we milked them hard all day but only managed one 15in fish for 2.38lbs which got us an 8th place finish. It was definitely not the tournament we were hoping for but it was fun nonetheless!!! I caught most of my fish on a 1/4oz Blue Rock Custom Tackle Triple Threat Jig in Perfect Craw color on 15lb Vicious Fishing Braid to a 12lb Vicious Fishing Fluorocarbon leader!!! This past weekend was the two day Don Heck Memorial Classic Tournament for the Tioga County Bass Anglers!!! Day one saw us on Honeoye lake were I managed to catch a ton of fish and cull multiple times, but was not able to find any big ones!!! So, I ended up with a little over 9lbs!!! Day two saw us on Cowanesque lake were again I caught quite a few fish and culled multiple times but could not get any big ones!!! I ended up weighing in 8lbs worth of fish!!! When it was all said and done, I caught 10 fish worth 17+lbs which got me a 7th place finish!!! I was around fish this event, but just could not get the big ones that would have gotten me to place!!! A couple of weeks ago me and Oliver fished the first Annual CV Bass League Bubba Orchowski memorial tournament on Hammond!!! We had a fun day of fish catching but did not find the right ones to place!!! We caught a five fish limit that was a little over 10lbs!!! We caught fish all day and managed to cull a couple of times!! I caught my fish on a wide variety of lures!!! Had a great tournament today on Cowanesque!!! We caught fish all day and managed to cull twice to a limit worth 14.60lb which got us a 3rd place finish!!! Also caught the lunker for the tournament which was a 6.38lb Cowanesque beast!!! Had our second tournament on Tioga this season this past Sunday and it was another tough one!!! After fishing all day and missing some fish and catching a lot of shorts, I ended the day with two keepers worth a little over 3lbs!!
