We extend our gratitude to all applicants of our scholarship. The deadline for submission was on July 17th. The committee is currently reviewing all applications. We will announce the winners of our scholarship in the near future.

The moment we've been waiting for is here! We're thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the third annual Do It For Donny scholarship! One of our non-profit's criteria is that recipients cannot be related to us or have any direct relationship. However, if you know someone majoring in the mental health field, please urge them to apply. We'll be granting two scholarships worth $2500.00 each for the fall semester of 2024!

Deadline for applications will be July 17, 2024

Additional Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university program related to the mental health industry.
- Undergraduate student in junior or senior years or post graduate student.
- School must be located in the United States.
- Grade point average for the previous semester must be a minimum of 3.0.
- Must demonstrate a strong desire to make a difference in the mental health community.

Today we heard from one of the first Do it for Donny scholarship recipients! She reached out to let us know she has published multiple papers in academic journals, has spoken at major conferences and in May 2025 she is scheduled to receive her PhD.

We are very proud that Do it for Donny was able to help support this student on their journey. We look forward to continuing to build Do it for Donny scholarship and help as many students as we possibly can.

The deadline for the Donovan Kayne Lujan Memorial fund has come to a close. We are overjoyed to have 428 applicants this year! We are anxiously look forward to spending time learning about these students and what drives them to selflessly help others to heal. Thank you all for continued support!

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their support through this time. This scholarship is our way of giving to the community and continue Donovan’s legacy of pushing his friends, family, and even complete strangers to success.

On multiple occasions I have been asked “Who was Donovan”? On all occasions I struggle to answer these questions, not because I did not know my son. How to I put in words who he was? It would take hours of stories for me to be able to even provide an inkling of who is was. One word that seems to occur on almost every story about Donovan is genuine. I invite all his family and friends to post something about Donovan, whether it is your thoughts about him or a quick story about him.

The Do it for Donny scholarship fund was established after the tragic loss of Donovan Kayne Lujan. The lack of mental health resources available at critical moments in Donovan's life contributed to his untimely death. Our goal is to raise funds and provide financial assistance to aspiring mental health professionals. In hopes of preventing others from following the same path.
