A Book Drive for Babies!!
Having age-appropriate books at home correlates with early literacy, high school graduation, and career success.
Donate NEW or NEARLY NEW Baby Books to support Fairfield County children (ages 0-3) until 3/28/24 and make this drive one for the books!
Why is this important? Because...
🔹 2/3 of low-income families have no age-appropriate books in their homes.
🔹 Reading proficiency is the #1 predictor of school success.
🔹 Lack of reading proficiency puts kids on the dropout track. They are 4 x more likely to leave high school without a diploma if not reading on grade level in Third Grade.
🔹 Every child who doesn't graduate high school costs the individual, the family, and our society. The price is paid by all of us: $260K per person in lost earnings, taxes, productivity, and global competitiveness.
All of the books will be donated to United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut who will distribute them to low-income families in Fairfield County.
You can also select a book from the Amazon Wishlist created for this book drive: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/24UDQFLLV71CL/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex
Together, we can positively impact a child's future academic growth and job attainment. Donate to our baby book drive by 3/28/24.
