Coosa River update: The crappie are biting like crazy. From Brush Piles, and Docks. You can catch them just about anywhere right now. Go get after them while the getting is good. But before you do check these out, and let us know if you need some.

Looks like Phillip Pendley had a great day on the water. Phillip used the combination of Lost Creek Custom Rods & Tackle 6'8" Light "Slab Addict" spinning rod and some Beat Down Baits 2" Stinger Tail crappie bites to catch some beautiful Spring time crappie. My good buddy Alex Hopson, and I had another great tournament yesterday. We was able to get on a good pattern that allowed us to get the win, and claim big fish for the day.

Everything was caught using Beat Down Baits 2” Crappie Bites in Blue Grass, and Peppered Ghost Sour on a Lost Creek Custom Rods & Tackle Crappie Rod.

Me and my good buddy from Lost Creek Custom Rods & Tackle was able to sneak off to the Warrior River again for about 2 hours after work yesterday. And the Crappie are on fire!!! And so is that Peppered Ghost Sour paired with that LCC rod.

Yesterday was one of the best day I’ve ever had fishing for crappie, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had a lot of good fishing trips. What made it so special is because it was Beat Down Baits and Lost Creek Custom Rods & Tackle first ever crappie tournament. Not only were we able to pull off the win with weighing in 7 crappie for 12.33lbs. But we had a two man limit of 60 beautiful Warrior River Slabs by 10:30am in the tournament to top off the day. Nothing more special to me than getting the job done with locally made baits, and custom made rods.
