Congratulations to the Hewitt-Trussville High School Wrestling team for finishing 3rd in the 7A state tournament with 1 state champion, 2 state runner-ups and 5 other state placers.

I do not know the wrestler’s parents to tag here, but to the parent’s of the Thompson 77 # wrestler at Metro Championship:

I have been around sports as a player, a parent, and a coach for many years. This is my 4th year as a parent of a wrestler. In all of those years, I have never had an opponent of any of my son’s come to me before a match or game and wish us good luck. Today, that happened before the championship match. That is not only a trait of a great sportsman, but most of all an awesome human being. I commend you for raising him in a manner not often seen in these times. He will accomplish great things on and off the mat!
