In order to properly maintain a wood deck surface especially in OK you are looking at sanding, staining, and sealing your deck at least once a year. And that usually only consists of the areas you can easily access. How often are you willing to crawl underneath your structure to sand, stain, and seal the bottom of your wood deck boards?
Your other option is to pay someone to do all that every year. That will quickly add up to more than the original price difference between wood and composite/PVC decking!

If it seems like the progress of this building is going backwards that’s because it is. We have been contracted to disassemble this brand new building! Why you are the customers paying to have this brand new building taken down you might ask?
Simply put the original contractor did not build it correctly. Now I understand there are many different ways of doing things especially when it come to building. But when you have a set of blue prints that specifically show footing details and depths and you completely disregard that (even though you designed them!)… well to me that’s just unacceptable!
