Last week we highlighted one student, Madeline Jennings, who was making the most of her summer in Alaska but today we are going all the way to Spain to showcase how another one of our students, Gary Ervin, is spending his summer excavating in Belchite searching for possible mass graves and uncovering the remains of structures partially destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. He even made the evening news, check out a brief clip of his interview below! There is still so much for us to share as our faculty and students are researching and writing and serving communities around the world. Stay tuned 👀 #anthrosummer

Another flintknapping clip!
Another quick clip from yesterday's flintknapping session (in the rain and cold!). Students in ANTH7213 Lithic Analysis are so hardcore about flintknapping!

It's time for the free food and archaeology fun!! See you soon!!

Team Roots
We have reached the end of our TU Roots of Hamilton St. Croix experience. Our students have walked in the footsteps of history, gained a fresh perspective on what it means to be both Crucian and American, learned how resistance lives on in the Virgin Island community today and shared memories throughout this 10-day trip that will last a lifetime. We thank our CGE coordinators as well as our partners UVI, Chant Tours, and many others for this amazing experience.
