Class of 2024 - Today's the day! ✨ 🎓 ✨
As you prepare for Graduate Commencement, we want to thank you for entrusting John Carroll University with your education and preparing you for the facts of life. In just a few hours you will hear from keynote speaker Dr. Donald Malone, Jr., President of the Cleveland Clinic Ohio Hospitals and Family Health Center. He'll provide you with excellent advice for the next steps in your journey through life.
Last Saturday at the Graduate School Commencement Brunch, Dr. Jean Feerick, Interim Dean of the Graduate School, provided her own words of wisdom for our graduates. We hope it inspires you and prepares you for your Commencement. Featured in this address is "The Facts of Life" From "Sorry For Your Troubles" by Pádraig Ó Tuama - 🔗 to poem https://buff.ly/3dmLGMU

Give to what you love! With support from the Graduate School, Katelyn Gobbie, B.S. in Biology ‘22, M.S. in Biology ‘24G, presented her thesis research at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) annual meeting. Reflecting on her research experiences, Katelyn shared, “With the incredible support of my advisor and the faculty at JCU, I created a master’s thesis project that incorporates the topics that excite me most and that also raise awareness for our common home. Not only do I get to travel across the country to conduct my scientific field research, but I also get to present this work and learn from expert scientists at other universities as well as national and worldwide conferences. Gaining science communication skills has allowed me to receive grant funding from external sources and win awards for my thesis research, with more opportunities arising almost every week.” Visit the link in our bio for our Day of Giving page! ⚡️ #JCUDayofGiving2023 #gradschool #gradstudents
