In Episode 144 of Theology In Particular, I’m joined by Dr. James Renihan to discuss a book he co-edited and published back in the year 2005 entitled, Nehemiah Coxe and John Owen, Covenant Theology From Adam To Christ. This book has helped many Reformed Baptists to rediscover and understand the Covenant Theology expressed in the Second London Confession of Faith.

Tomorrow we'll study the shortest but arguably the sweetest chapter in our confession. I hope to see you all at 6pm

At the center of the Gospel is the doctrine of justification, which is ever in danger by both legalists and antinomians. The 2nd LBCF (1689), as with the WCF and Savory Confessions, expounds a healthy and biblically rigorous understanding of the doctrine that the church must continually teach and not assume.
